We wandered in by accident but loved the museum and gift shop. Been back for the both as well as visited with relatives who also enjoyed the area.

This was a great small museum of modern northwest art. The staff were very informative. Really worth the time...plus great gift shop.

I love contemporary art and this lovely museum did not disappoint.Lovely gift shop on premises as well.

I'm not a great one for modern art but since I do like the art of the Northwest and the museum had free entry, I walked in. It is a small museum, nice display space, unfortunately loud and echoey like many modern industrial display spaces tend to be.The museum shop is excellent though, with fabulous pieces by northwest artists. I was lucky to escape without burning up my credit card.

I had the pleasure to attend a landscaping painting class at MONA as part of their family art activities and it was excellent!! I took my granddaughter and thought this would just be an interesting time and another opportunity for her to explore art. What a surprise it was to find out that I really enjoyed the instruction and the chance to try painting with acrylics. The woman sitting next to me took a look at my painting and asked "What do you usually paint?" Up until that day my response would have been "ceilings and walls". On a more serious note, Mona's exhibits are everchanging and each exhibit will not appeal to everyone but I, for one, am very glad to have MONA in LaConner. Also, entry fees have been waived (not sure of dates for this) but be sure to check it out when visitng LaConner!!

Disappointed today by both exhibits: 1) Shorelines - love the subject & was looking forward to it, there were a few nice works, however, the showing was sparse, and the display upstairs looked bare. It could have been so much more... 2) Video story of a pilot - very poor due to the cavernous room with lots of noise. The series of 7 video stations were practically inaudible as well... I wouldn't have bothered. The Quilt Museum is so much better, go there, $$ better spent. That said - in the past we have seen a good show there.

We only visited the gift shop which has a very nice selection of jewelry and crafts at reasonable prices.

Beautiful newish two-story building with great display space. However, there were few art pieces on display. Felt like this was a building in search of a collection.

Very High quailty work by local artisans and well worth a visit when you are beautiful downtown La Conner

At $8 a head for entry, you're basically paying about $0.50 for each piece they have to look at. And if you're looking for native Northwest Art, no, not here.

A small museum well laid out to offer the visitor the opportunity to have a somewhat private viewing experience in a well lit but somewhat caverous feel to the area.. The gift shop is as interesting in its artistic offerings as is the museum.

They have wonderful things from new and exciting artists. The ambiance of the place is also very nice. Their museum shop is filled with wonderful gift ideas from the very affordable to the very expensive. Though the expensive is for one-of-a-kind items from wonderful artisans. It's just plain fun to browse. Staff is more than happy to explain things or give you background on artists.

This may be a small museum but within its walls is wonderful PNW art and a fun gift shop in which to browse. Admission is $8, $5 for seniors and students. It might seem a bit high but remember, this museum supports local artists and there are FAR too few small town venues of this type to be found anywhere. I find it especially fun to wander through the gift shop - it has a little bit of everything. I really like the whimsical clay/pottery animals (especially the rabbits) in the window display. I would urge you to take an hour or two while in town and visit the museum.

Found the $8/person a little steep for the actual experience. There may be times when the permanent or guest exhibits are more to a person's taste. My understanding is the permanent holdings are large and rotate. But overall there are just 3 rather small galleries and not a lot to see. Would not recommend over all.

It rained all day , and spending time in this charming little museum was a great diversion. There was art from their permanent collection as well as interesting shows by Rik Allen and Allen Moe.
