I go here every year for my birthday trip to La Conner. They always have a new exhibit featuring something special about the county. This year, they have an exhibit on mourning clothing, Victorian hair wreaths (woah!!) and medicine in Skagit County. Love it all!! Even the regular exhibits. It's so lovingly taken care of and detailed.

Enjoyed visiting here overall. It has some nice displays of artifacts from the history of the area. Especially enjoyed the displays of an old general store and rooms from a typical family home of the era. Doesn't take too long to go through and see everything, even if you are one who likes to read most of the descriptions. Reasonable price of admission for what you get to see. It is an easy walk from the main street along the waterfront in town.

I think this was probably the best small museum I have ever been in. I loved seeing the clothing, horse buggies, and the things made of human hair. The view from the rear of the building was very worthwhile. We were all surprised by how much there was to see.

Really nice collection of artifacts and photos from pioneer days, lots from the 19th century. The building itself is an ugly concrete bunker isolated on a cul-de-sac. We were the only visitors on a day when the downtown was full of shoppers. It's worth seeking out.

For a small county museum this is extremely nice. Older exhibits, but all of well presented and described local artifacts, photos, and a display of the work of Skagit county's premier architect. WALK up to the museum, then you can have a bigger lunch at one of the fine restaurants down the hill.

We enjoyed all the artifacts and also the great view from the balcony overlooking La Connor right to the ocean. Great staff which were very helpful with the question we asked. Thank you

The museum and how it is set up feels pretty dated. Which was OK as that lent charm to the extremely dated displays. Beautiful view off the back of the museum. Spooky doll display. I liked it and felt that my $5/person fee was worth it.

On a rainy day, this was a great place to spend time and learn about the history of the Skagit Valley. The displays are well organized and provide a fascinating glimpse into the past in this charming town. The displays could benefit by more emphasis on the role of the indigenous peoples in the history of the area.

The Museum was nicely decorated for Christmas. There were lots of interesting items and displays to view, with a good cross-section of period correct historical pieces. The only drawback was some items lacked any information on what they were used for or even what their name was.

Lots of neat scenes of life in the thirtys and fortys in farming communities. Also displays many native american artifacts from the Northwest area.

We throughly enjoyed our visit. I loved seeing all the dolls and my husband liked the tools shown. The best part was the view from the deck.

On top of a hill in the very cute town of La Conner, sits the Skagit Historical Museum. It is full of interesting artifacts and displays and the views of the surrounding area are spectacular. The price is right

Really can't share my experience with you on this Museum because when we pulled up to the parking lot and saw that it was supposed to be open till 4. I went and parked, started walking up only to see the employee locking the door. After inquiring, she said that she was volunteering for an event and she had to close the museum early today. There was no notice on the door when we were looking at the operating hours. When the employee drove off to her function....again there was no note left on the door apologizing for the inconvenience of not being open normal hours. I understand this is a small town, but it's not very business like to arbitrarily close up, leaving the patrons high and dry. Sad

Had a fabulous exibite on the Morrow brothers. Never new that Edward G had a brother and that Lacey Morrow was so important on the bridge culture of the State of Washington as well as the U.S.
