There is only one problem with this place, it's not open all week long;)The coffee is fabulous and you can buy different kinds of sausages sandwiches and more. You need to try it. Won't be disappointed.

This is more about the downtown Sunday street market. At least 6 or 8 blocks of all types of vendors. A lot of interesting wares and lots of fun with all going on. I'm not sure how often they have this but we were fortunate enough to be there at the right time. A lot of fun!

We are on a family vacation with family from Ontario, Nova Scotia and Quebec and were glad to be able to go to the market as it was open on Wednesdays as well as Saturdays. There was everything we were looking to get: wild blueberries, cheeses, breads, samosas, jams, hand made soap, art, jewelry and the BEST Hand Popped Kettle Corn is a must (outside vendor). Vendors were friendly and helpful. Generous as well. Next time we are in PEI we will return.

Was at the market buying vegetables for a large dinner. Came across the Organic stand just as you come through the main doors. I run a small stand at a market myself some seasons so I know that touching/feeling the produce and checking for ripeness is common, and encouraged, especially depending on the dish you're making. This lady's stand had cherry tomatoes which I lightly pressed for ripeness and was verbally scolded and told "they are all ripe" (they were not). I took my business elsewhere. I will be sure to tell my fellow chefs not to touch this vendor, quite literally!

My husband and I will go through phases with pretty well each food stand at The Market. We've gone through phases with the Chinese noodles, the vegetarian Chinese food, sausage stand, the Indian, and now we're on to the Mexican. You really can't go wrong, there's something for the whole family.

The Farmer's Market is an institution on PEI. Folks go to socialize an buy local. It has an excellent variety and delicious foods from an international group of vendors. I wish they had more space and it would make for a more pleasant experience. Having said that, it is worth going for the experience and lovely food.

I LOVE this market! Been going for over 30 years! (even when it was in a different location) It is a shame that they don't have a larger building it gets packed like sardines! And the little addition gets overlooked with no real adertizing that it exists! Some of our favorite booths are- Cabana corner for there melon smoothie or carrot juice! Isobels flowers for an AMAZING deal! Weedy gardens for fresh vegetables and great sourdough bread!Steves bread stand for his unique cresentsSmoked salmon bagel!!! (new owner)Lindas candles! Bees wax galore!Ang's asian food delights!Lori 's perogies! try the spelt ones!Go around to the add on for fresh organic cucumbers and tomatoes, artwork and pottery and AMAZING vegetarian food by macromom!

Cute little farmers market, perfectly sized for the community! Lots of different options, including standard fare like veggies/baked goods/meats/etc. but also a nice variety of international foodie booths, and really fantastic artisans. I go every time I'm in Charlottetown!

I had visited Charlottetown this past summer from Moncton and visited the Love Charlie store located in peakes key and the farmers market. The man that was at the store was on his computer the entire times and didn't even look up to ask if I needed anything. So once I did get his attention I was there to pick up a piece that was made for me. He told me to go to the Farmers Market and was very rude about it which was a shame because everyone else in that area was very polite. Once I got to the market the owner was completely rude and said she never knew about any piece even though we had exchanged emails. She was completely unprofessional but since I had traveled that long to pick up the piece I decided instead to purchase one she had in stock. Once I got home, I tried it on with my attire for a wedding I was attending and the button and feathers fell off! I couldn't believe it. I emailed her right after to explain the situation and she was so rude in her reply and would not help or give a refund/exchange. I would not recommend anyone to purchase any "hand-made" products from them or deal with these unfit business owners. Horrible. - Susan

Lot of wonderful food to buy,The place is a little small and the parking could be a little better, but it's about the food.

Seeing the wide variety of all local product really woke us up to what PEI has to offer for sure. Real food produced and grown by real people is always a treat, we try and take in a farmers market to get to know an area and this was a great one as well.It was the off season and yet they still had a lot of the product on offer. Be sure to have a sausage freshly cooked up out back, the Oktoberfest was fantastic.

This is a cute spot to visit while in PEI. A must have: Medallion smoke salmon sandwich ($6). Another one is: station with chorizos made with different flavors and different styles (german, italian, etc). Super cheap by the way.Easy free parking (during the summer, don’t know over the winter). There is live music too.

The farmers' market - open Wed & Sat in the summer, Sat in the winter - offers some extraordinary culinary delights, to eat on the spot or take away. I particularly enjoy Kim Dormaar's Medallion smoked salmon and Martina Ter Beek's fenugreek-spiced gouda. The crowds are always cheerful and the stalls beautiful, usually dressed with local flowers and samples. The family-style eating area offers the chance to talk with other tourists as well as locals. Plenty of parking, accessible site right off University Avenue.
