old opera house

We saw a show at the Old Opera House and it impressed us for a community theater. The facility is intimate, and the quality of the performance was well above what we expected given the reasonable price and small but apparently dedicated staff. Refreshments downstairs during intermission were minimal but welcome.

For a community theater group, the shows continue to impress. The theater is beautiful. The hosts are extremely friendly The shows will not disappoint.

We've been to several productions here and have never been disappointed. The theater is intimate and the staff is always helpful. The quality of the productions are well above average and the prices are a bargain.

We went to see the play this past Friday. It was opening night of the show. The play ran for 2 hours and was entertaining from start to finish. The actors were all excellent in their roles. The theater is very well maintained. The seats were comfortable and the room between the rows was generous. The ticket prices were very fairly priced. During intermission they serve you soda, water and cookies. If I lived in the area, I would get a yearly subscription to the theater if this is the caliber of local theater. It was a very entertaining evening.

Small venue, but great live music for only $10! $3 beers. Eclectic audience as well as types of performances. Good cheap date...and there are often week night gigs.

Check out a community play at the Opera House and support the 100 year old theater. The theater is in downtown Charles Town and hosts about 6 or 7 plays annually. The building is beautiful and by patronizing the theater you support the community and the building. After the play check out dinner at a local restaurant downtown.
