有一个要点就是如果走路上去,大概两个半小时左右,路非常陡。如果缆车的话是26美金,不过如果走路上去,下来可以坐缆车,是免费的。另外山顶上面有一天很短的登山径,我蛮喜欢的。

The location is super convenient for anyone staying in Aspen, you can walk right on the gondola and be to the top of the mountain in minutes, the layout is a lot of front to back and top to bottom - not a lot of side to side or traversing.

We just returned from skiing in Aspen/Snowmass. My husband and I skied Aspen 27 years ago and loved it. Since then we prefer to ski a different mountain every year and have traveled all over Canada and US. This year we decided to return to the resort that started our yearly ski trips. We loved Snowmass and Aspen Highlands but were extremely disappointed in the Mountain. It seems like there have been no improvements in the lifts in the past 25 years. There is one gondola and 1 high speed quad, the remainder are very slow chairs that stop frequently. In a place like Aspen where they charge 60 dollars for a pizza you would think they could put in a few more high-speed chairs. Perhaps the customers they are appealing to really are not hard core skiers, they are just there to be seen. If skiing is what you are looking for then skip the Mountain and go to Snowmass or the Highlands

liked the varied terrain and snow was just perfect..lodges and meals were well valued for a high end place.....

There is a good reason this is an excellent place to take the family skiing - it's got so much to offer. The accommodation options are wide ranging and if you go off-season as we did, availability and price is comparable to other places - not way over the top prices as we initially thought might be the case. You still spend a lot, but that goes with taking the family skiing anywhere. The township of Aspen is unspoilt, no massive developments - it has retained the feel and character of a small town village, but has a great variety. Shopping at the excellent supermarket at times kept the costs down. The Christmas/New Year activities such as fireworks (with skiers coming down the mountain with flares), ice sculptures, great coffee & food at Victoria's, & burgers at CP Burger, even the op shop and fire museum was interesting. The skiing is what it is all about and that doesn't disappoint. The tickets allowed skiing on 4 mountains and there are frequent free shuttle buses between them all, so it doesn't really matter where you stay, but we liked being able to walk though the wonderful town of Aspen during the evening. Our two families skied mostly at Snowmass and Buttermilk mountains, but next time the other two are on the agenda. Aspen Mountain is more suited to advanced skiers - black or double black - intermediate skiers will find more options at the other mountains. The kids also had fun with tubing at Snowmass.

I always wanted to ski this mountain, just to complete my Bucket List. But beyond its historical cachet, Ajax truly has it all. 3-mile-long groomers, steeps, trees, bumps, never a dull moment. (Virtually no beginner terrain though - see Buttermilk Mtn for that.) And the view from the top makes this California guy appreciate the Rockies in a whole new way. I'll definitely return to savor Ajax again.

Colorado Ski Area's Customer Service Comparison.February 22, 2015 at 4:01pmSince Aspen Skiing Co has given me the motivation to cover other ski area's I thought I would share with you all my thoughts on how each resort measures up in Customer Service. Now I've Skied Sunlight Mtn, Breckenridge, Loveland, Arapahoe Basin, Vail, Beaver Creek over the last couple of weeks. I've done my best to leave all bias's out of this review on how those resorts compare to Aspen and have taken along other people that have passes to Aspen's Mountains to get their opinion. Their opinion's ended up being the same as mine. So I must tell you that it was very refreshing at Loveland, Arapahoe Basin, Vail, Beaver Creek and especially Sunlight to hear their staff say: "Hello" to you as soon as they saw you. They made you feel welcome as soon as they saw you walking their way. Ski Instructors that actually say, and get this: "Excuse me, may my class and I cut into the line here" when there were lift lines on the weekend....... And if they happened by accident to go over someone skis you almost believed that they were apologizing to you for running over your pet dog.... They were very sincere about it, and would hook customers up if they happened to do. I witnessed this at all chairs...... It is very obvious that Vail resorts managers and senior management went to Disney World for training. Disneys schools kick butt at this training. You also see all of their staff in proper uniform, and not in skinny jeans, or looking like they have just came off of a 3 day drunk, or in filthy animal costumes modified to the employees personality. You heard Please, Thank you, and Your Welcome all over the place on their mountains from any staff in uniform.....There were no unkempt beards on employees like here in Aspen that are growing down to their chest, no tatoo's or piercings showing either on employees dealing with the public. All I've seen everyday here from SkiCo staff in Uniform.Furthermore, they give United States active duty military men and women, Military reservists men and women, US Veteran men and women 50% off on almost everything. Lift tickets to on slope cafeterias.......Sunlight Mountain, Copper, Winter Park, Steamboat, Loveland, Teluride, Durrango/Purgatory, Loveland, give about the same discounts as Vail Resorts do. Aspen Skiing Company gives no discounts to Veteran's, and only 5% off on a lift ticket for Active Military. That means instead of someone in the Marines paying $150 a day for a lift ticket to $140 a day. Nobody get's paid well in the military, but they still like to go on ski vacations since they are putting their lives on the line to protect those ski resorts and forest lands. I think it is safe to say that if you are going to charge outlandish prices then you need to provide great outlandish Customer Service for the prices you charge. If you don't you lose customers...................

One of the great ski mountains. Even though we're just casual skiers that stick mainly to the groomed runs this mountain provides more than enough challenges, great scenery, short lift lines, great mountain top dining. And when you're done skiing you are in the heart of one of the great ski resorts anywhere. What's not to like?

Ajax mountain is the closest ski field to Aspen. The gondola leaves from the village and takes you directly to the top of the mountain. A great way to start a days skiing on groomed powder runs. Plenty of challenging vertical metres for intermediate to advanced skiers.

Surfsydney

This is our favourite place to ski, massive area, so much fun to be had, lift lines really don't exsist, the facilities on the mountain cannot be beaten, Ajax is simple the best.

djwcrna

a tough mountain which got a lot of snow during our visit.Excellent groomed runs especially Copper Bowl and Spar Gulch.Limited grooming on expert runs

DinaH733

Ajax is simply a nice alla round ski area in a stunning area! If youre looking for off piste skiing and steep bowls, head to highlands mountain instead.

lukeg148

Aspen mountain is beautiful, but also extreemly difficult to ski. This is the most advanced mountain out of the four to choose from, so only try if you have the experience. This mountain is also beautiful during the summer.

DianaPrince70

I had the best time of my life. Amazing place to visit and I will comeback. I will suggest to bring snacks with you and wake up early so you can enjoy the day.

Whether it's all the great vertical feet, the conversations on the chairlifts and gondola, or the crowds at Bonnie's, this mountain is a fun time in the winter and summer. A must ski on during your time in Aspen. If you are looking for the "locals mountain" it's Aspen Highlands.
