Every time I've been here, the owners/winemaker did the tasting, which means that you can hear the real story of each wine and ask questions. The Malbec and Carmenere are outstanding.

Clearwater Canyon Cellars is a diamond in the rough! Very good wines at an affordable price with very knowledgeable & energetic owners, Karl & Coco...a "must visit" attraction in Lewiston, Idaho.

This wonderful winery is owned and managed by an amazing young couple. Karl Umiker, is a master gardener and soil scentist and Coco Umiker,his wife, has a PhD in Enology. I find their wines to be the best I've ever experienced in Idaho. They grow a number of varieties of grapes and get the rest of their grapes as locally as possible.They are working on creating a Tasting Room and their Winery on the property overlooking their vineyard. The owners/vitners are very knowledgable and love to tell you about their wine. Then are super excited about the wine they create.

Ran by a couple. They use only glass made in America and grapes from the immediate area. Only open on Satudays but have a nice selection of whites and reds

This winery is almost a decade old, run by a couple who strive to make the best product using their locally-grown grapes. They operate every aspect of their business and work with other local businesses to promote products of the LC Valley. They opened our eyes to the many hidden gems in the area. The tasting room is open Saturdays and is a bit of a challenge to find if you're not familiar with the area. Just give them a call for directions and to confirm their hours.
