The Canyon Trail offers great views of the canyon and the Perrine Bridge---I got a great night photo (twenty second shutter speed) of the bridge with traffic crossing toward the end of the trail.

Stopped here to check out the river saw lots of people free falling of the bridge. It was awesome! Beautiful river and canyon. Got pit stop as well! ;)

This is a beautiful area and the Snake River Canyon is amazing with many trails. It is worth stopping at the Malad Gorge State Park also to see that area.

Nature always has a way of inspiring and The Snake River Canyon Trail is truly breathtaking and raw in it's beauty. A must stop for anyone that gets the chance!

Hiking the Snake River Canyon Trail requires a little planning. Considering the time you have available, the amount of effort you wish to put into a hike and the weather, you can hike sections of the trail or take on the whole thing. Signs posted at trail entry points (Shoshone Falls park and such) provide layouts of the trail system. Views of the canyon are magnificent, especially the numerous small waterfalls along the canyon walls. If you are lucky, you may see base jumpers in action. Take plenty of water and a snack, especially for lengthy hikes.

We were travelling to Yellowstone and happened to stop over in Twin Falls, Idaho. Just by chance we heard about Snake River Canyon and got directions how to get there. If you pass by in the neighborhood I can recommend a visit here. Beautiful valley, with waterfalls and spectacular views.

For experienced backpackers this one is an absolute must! Not for the weak hearted (rattlers, poison ivy, hot and cold, water can be critical) but the wildlife both flora and fauna plus fabulous views around every bend and history galore. Did you know this area supported one million + sheep during WW1 which provided the K rations and clothing for our GIS?!To see it not from a raft but up close and personal is a treasure of a lifetime not to be missed. Get in shape and do it...JUST DO IT!

Walk along the edge /rim of the Snake River canyon. A great trail, that doesn't cost a thing to take a walk on the edge of a beautiful canyon ridge, Great views either way or as mentioned occasionally a base jumper if you’re around the bridge area. Great photo and video shooting opportunities along the ridge.I too had a very nice experience as it was 86 degrees and very sunny. Great day for a long walk, especially along the edge of the canyon rim. I Loved under the bridge, had to stand under it for a bit to hear the creaking and traffic passing over my head. Wild to say the least! If you have the time, have a camera or video camera take the trail and enjoy yourself. Keep an eye on the bridge occasionally to see a base jumper make the plunge into the canyon floor. The kayakers below look tiny and the deep canyon seems to go on forever east or west. Worth the time to take even a short walk on the trail. Sunny warm days make it even better.

I am scared of heights BUT this was ok. I was the one taking pictures lol. R kids range in all ages & each one loved it. My youngest saw a cliff jumper & said "Is that batman" The man politely said no but the boys were in awe of the jumpers & kayaks at the bottom. They have a small gift shop but well worth the stop for tshirts & maps.U can walk under the road to the other side of the bridge where there is another lookout point & statue of mermaids. They have the facts of the "famous Jump"

sunny sunny sunny deliciously sunny and a breathtaking view of the bridge and surrounding area ! We watched in amazement when daring young para-sailors jumped off the Perrine Bridge into the seemingly endless abyss of the Snake River Canyon far below, each one making an impressive and safe landing on the Canyon floor. There was quite a crowd and a camera crew to admire their courage. It made for hours of fun on a wonderful and warm afternoon. There is a long trail along the canyon, leading to the Evil Kenevil jump site for those who are interested.

The snake river canyon is what makes Twin Falls different. If it weren't the canyon, Twin Falls would come across as a pleasant, yet typical, medium sized town surrounded by agriculture. But there's this huge canyon ripping through the North End of town. This trail and bridge is the second best place to see it - the best being Shoshone Falls a little east of town.

We stopped on our way north and walked the trail for a couple of miles. We were delighted to see that a group of enthusiasts were BASE jumping from the bridge to a landing area at the canyon floor. That made the trip worthwhile even with out the awesome views. This is a great trail with lots of overlooks and things to see. I highly recommend.

Quite a site to see - it is breath-taking. I wish we had more time to see more of the site but we were traveling across the country and could not stay longer.

We took it from Shoshone Falls to the point where Evil Knievel jumped which is just a small hill of dirt now. Still very interesting to see what he attempted. The trail is well maintained and a very nice hike along the river with more views of the waterfall and nice canyon views.

The trail provides outstanding views of Shoshone Falls and the surrounding canyon. The trail ends at the site of Evel Knevil's 1979 motorcycle jump (not much to see really). The trail is paved though steep in some sections. Count on 3 - 4miles round trip. Hint: don't start from the stairs behind the concession stand, start from the trail further up in the park).
