We have been able to view the youth symphony here a handful of times. This place is beautiful. Very new and it is an ecellent addition to the downtown district. Very unique architecture on the outside and glowing designed stage on the inside.

We have been here for several events - symphony, ballets and opera. The Center is a very beautiful and modern facility. Nice large bathrooms that are easily accessible. Also, there is a cash bar for most events. A real jewel in Amarillo's crown!

Eight of us drove up from Lubbock and were absolutely delighted with the entire experience. We were surprised how wonderful the facility was in every aspect. The acoustics were marvelous and the sound was set perfectly. Lyle Lovett and his Large Band were fantastic. We will not hesitate to make the little trip up I-27 to catch an act at the Globe-News Center int eh future and will encourage others to do the same. And as for hearing Lyle Lovett live, we'll drive six hours easy for that.

Went with a group to see Lyle Lovett in concert, it was a sell out crowd. The band consisted of 12 pieces and they played beautifully. Lyle himself was very entertaining and the show lasted almost 3 hours without a break. We had very good seats to see the stage and hear. The building is well laid out and easy to get around to your seats, restroom or concessions. Plenty of free parking available. Only issue we had was people consistently had their smart phone on taking pictures and the staff did nothing to control it. This was very irritating.

My wife and I drove from Oklahoma City to Amarillo for a concert by Don Williams. We knew what to expect from the concert, but not from the facility. We were both amazed at the beauty and the sound. The event was a sell out and the event staff was very skilled in helping people in and to their seats. The parking was free and the facility was easy to drive to. But the main thing we liked was the great sound in the hall. This is one of the best performing arts centers that we have attended and was well worth our drive and time. You certainly did good in Amarillo with this facility. And by the way, there is plenty of good dining in the downtown area.

Only been here once but do plan to go back as often as we can. We went for the first time to hear an excellent lecture put on by the Amarillo College about the Rwandan Genocide. The speaker was the hotel manager in Rwanda who was credited with saving over 400 lives. The Globe Center is very easy to find downtown and there plenty of well lighted parking.

This is the coolest building in Amarillo. I saw the symphony here and it was wonderful! The sound was outstanding, and the shape of the concert hall inside is a masterpiece.

I don't feel comfortable in this place because the steps are very steep and they don't have handrails. Haven't been there enough to comment on sound quality, etc.

The Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts is a comfortable place to watch and listen to Plays and concerts. It is a place you can dress up for and enjoy a relaxed evening.

I'm really impressed with the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts. It was designed specifically for symphony performances. The walls can move so that the performance hall can be "tuned" for optimal acoustics. This facility also hosts ballets, special movie performances, and plays. But if you get the chance, catch the Amarillo Symphony here. You'll enjoy it.
