JFK died 7 years before I was born. However, his impact as well as his death had a profound effect on the country. To see the site and the flame is poignant. However, the view from the flame is also impressive when looking out across the Cemetery and on to Washington. It is the first stop on the cemetery tram and while walkable, especially when returning from Arlington House, it will save time to take the tram. You also get information provided on the tram you will not get on a walk.

All covered in the Arlinton National Cemetary review including photos of gravesites both JFK's and ordinary or should I say extra-ordinary servicemen.

I have waited many years to come to pay my respects. it was emotional to stand and think back to that day in 1963.i was surprised to see John Jr wasn't buried there as the 2 babes who died were and of course Jackie reunited in death

I was in 8th grade the day President Kennedy died. I remember it all well. I have been to his grave site many years ago. The eternal flame still burns. There are now other family members buried alongside of him and nearby.

While not the fanciest or most stunning grave, it is still humbling to stand in the shadow of Arlington House and reflect on a life taken too early.

I have visited President Kennedy's Grave every time I have been to Washington DC. It's a memory I will never forget, I was 14 when President Kennedy was killed & it's a time in history that I will never forget. Seeing the Eternal Flame on his gravesite was very moving. A must see when in DC.

There's a very regal, almost timelessness of the place. I love going there. Peaceful. You can feel the importance of the man.

If you take the tour of Arlington, you'll stop by this site. I like the changing of the guard and Lee House better, but this is part of the tour. The bus will give you time to get out and see it. A nice view for eternity for the Kennedys

The scouts didn't know much about JFK, but knew about the eternal flame. We talked about his speech, which is engraved into some stones there and about why he was buried in that particular spot. They were intrigued then.

A peaceful place to pay your respects and allow later generations to experience a part of history. I wish there were more hand rails for disabled people to use during winter weather. There are many steps up to the graves with ice and snow.

The Kennedy graves are an awesome experience with the eternal flame and the history of this famous family.

To my kids - this was pretty much a flame in the ground and the main questions were around propane source. If you recall the Kennedy era of history, its worth seeing this, but short of that, the presentation is pretty stark and without meaningful explanation.

This was an incredible site. It is neat to know that the flame is eternal and never burns out. What a peaceful grave site to visit.
