Shocked to learn that it's CLOSED. On our annual trip to the Natural Bridge, we observed a huge CLOSED sign on the Wax Museum as we pulled up. On top of that, the butterfly garden and the arcade inside the Bridge shop were also CLOSED. The Natural Bridge gift shop was nearly empty. I don't know if they are closing all together or what, but it sure would have need nice to know ahead of time that these attractions were no longer avail!

This was the neatest wax museum that I have visited and I got to see a lot of famous people. This museum shows you how they make the wax molds.

Read about it here: http://www.wset.com/story/25891275/natural-bridge-wax-museum-closing-at-end-of-summerIt wasn't that great anyway and I found the wax figures to be poorly done. Most of them were just plain scary looking.

I loved this place! I was sad to hear that it is going to be closing next month.A ton of history and so much history. They have voice that you can turn on to learn more. The ppl who work there are very knowledgeable.

This attraction is so informative. It share a great deal of information about history itself, but also a lot of history of Virginia. The wax "people" are very well detailed and the scenes in which they are depicted are set-up very nice as well. The staff are friendly and the cost is quite cheap. I advise you to take your time and just stroll through the exhibit. It is not extremely time consuming but I think you will find that there is so much to learn and you will enjoy the exhibit much more if you just take the time to look at each scene and read the information that accompanies it. There are several areas that have audio recorded messages/info about the exhibit and these provide a good deal of information also. NOTE: Due to financial issues at NB, this exhibit is set to close its doors forever in September so if you are thinking of visiting you had better not delay. :-(

It's closing at the end of the 2014 season. Interesting history of the area, and amazing likenesses in the statues.

My girlfriend and I visited this museum while on a trip to the Natural Bridge. The clerks were very friendly and the museum very interesting. We were impressed with the quality of work and the presentations of each display. I do not agree at all with previous comments about workmanship. There is a section where all the US presidents are gathered together. They all have name tags but I recognized them all without having to read the nametags. The museum was clean, well lit and really interesting. I did not find anything creepy about this museum and I am sad to hear that they are moving to Ohio at the end of August. If you are at the Natural Bridge and Have some time, I reccomend a visit.Well worth the price of admission, and won't be there much longer.

took us about 10 mins to tour the whole place. because i was scared. great stuff . you push a button when you come to a scene and it gives you a lil history of the natural bridge. worth the 8 bucks, go see it.

Loved it! Nature at its best! Beautiful & amazing work of nature. Lovely easy mile or so walk from bridge to small falls, nice gift shop. Fun visit.

This is a really neat museum! There is a factory downstairs that tells all about how the figures are made that is really interesting. Upstairs enjoy a self guided tour through the past beginning with Adam and Eve. Most exhibits have a narrated story to go along with them and the Last Supper is a theater type setting with some really cool little effects. This museum is slightly dated but I feel it adds to it's charm. Currently prices are reduced since the museum is being shut down in September for good and all of the exhibits are being moved to Ohio. Go see a part of Virginia's history before it is gone.

We hesitated on whether to go to this museum but glad we did. It was worth the $8.00. Very interesting and well done.

What makes this place unique is the factory downstairs. It is really just a couple of rooms with displays depicting how wax figures are made, but it is something I have never seen before. In the back, we were able to look through windows and see a gentleman working on a new creation. The museum upstairs was fun as well, but the factory was unique. Unfortunately, we were told that this will be the last season for the museum. I am glad we had the opportunity to tour it before it closes.

My family and I visited the Wax Museum while vacationing for Spring Break. It was absolutely amazing to see the "History on Wax". Everything was so life like and even told the story. The Adam and Eve scene as well as the Last Supper were absolutely beautiful and breath taking. If you appreciate history and fine arts, you will definitely appreciate the Natural Bridge Wax Museum.

Have gone to Natural Bridge probably at 5 times over the last 45 years and have to see the wax museum every time. There is something that makes me feel like a kid again, when I was a little creeped out but thought the historical aspect was fascinating. Not for big city folk, but for a small town boy who remembers this as somewhat cutting edge "living history" in 1968, still kinda cool.

It takes you through Virginia history from frontier days, Revolutionary War, Civil War etc...... worth a stroll through the wax museum if you are visiting Natural Bridge.
