The title says it all. Do not waste your money and time. We drove 2 hours just to turn around and go back home.

We just went to the "resort" this past Friday night. My sisters and I decided to purchase the stay for the kids for Christmas. Checkin was a very long process Once checked in, we dropped off our bags and went right to dinner. We ordered the kids the buffet, 2 burgers and a salad. The kids were finished with the buffet and we still had to wait another 20 minutes for the adult meals and it was not busy. When we got back to our rooms to change the kids stepped on the floor which was soaked. After looking at the area in greater detail there was black mold all over the floor They did move us out of that room but seemed less than concerned with the mold The lights didn't work completely in the rooms and my niece showered then grabbed a towel that smelled like it had been through a fire. The smell was throughout the room all night once the towel got wet. The desk chair in another room was ripped down to just the stuffing on the seat. There were so many small things that could have made this hotel better - simple easy changes. I understand children (and even some less than desirable adults) will not pick up their messes in the hallways etc, but that's why staff should make walk throughs a priority. Since the park allows people to purchase tickets just for the day and there is no true separation of the park and hotel, the additional people are allowed to come in and take over the bathrooms in the lobby etc. The park was a bit better however there is zero organization so unless you are rude you may never get your turn especially the lazy river and the two only tube slides. I had to become very aggressive to help three little girls not even with me that had been waiting for tubes forever while obnoxious adults and children just walked in front of them and kept taking the tubes. My children have learned respect but the majority of the people here have not. This should be the responsibility of the park - manage this process so your customers don't have to. I would not go back again Finally after dealing with the dirtiness throughout the night - I received my bill with a "resort" fee on it. I was not amused by this.

My brother decided to have my nephews birthday party here in January. My SO went on groupon and found discount tickets for the both of us and our 5 year old son. Because of illness we had to reschedule the party for several weeks. Well on February 27th, we finally got the chance to go and planned on meeting at the waterpark for 11am as our tickets stated that we had an "all day pass".Upon arrival after driving an hour to the location we were surprised to learn that the waterpark does not open until 4pm. Now we had three kids who were exited to play with nothing to do for 5 hours. Mind you I also took my son out of school for the day as it was one of the few days that I was available. At first we were told that there was nothing anyone could do and we were left to fend for ourselves. Waterbury is no exactly the mecca of things to do in the middle of winter. Enter one of the front desk employees, Gary, who ultimately saved this from being a one star review. Gary listened to our concerns and went above and beyond and was able to put us in a room while we waited given our situation. Apparently this issue with "all day" being listed on groupon without explanation that the waterpark is not open until 4pm is a continuing issue. I also work in the customer service industry and was shocked that we were met with nothing more than a pass to enjoy the hotel pool.(People really should be informed in some way on groupon that this is the case as I would have much rather stayed at home while waiting or come another day.)Pool: The pool ended up being one of the worst aspects of our visit. As you can see by the photos the water was very cloudy and had particles floating in it. Furthermore you can see a build up of scum around the pool edge that was cringeworthy. The pool is in dire need of a cleaning and it reeked of pure chlorine as if the problem would be solved by simply dumping chemicals in it. Pools require water balance not just sanitation which I am sure this had neither. If someone cannot handle that then an outside company should be hired to test and replenish chemicals at least once a week. I could only imagine what the spa was like.At the pool other guests were also allowed to blast explicit music in the vicinity of my 5y/o son, 4y/o neice, and my 9y/o nephew. I like music but it was not something everyone needed to be listening too given that there were swears.Waterpark: After the experience above we were nervous to even go to the watermark. Again thanks to Gary we had somewhere to sit and at least watch some TV while we waited since we did not spend much time in the pool area. Much to our surprise the waterpark was not as bad as the pool. I expect an indoor waterpark would be a little harder to maintain than outside but it was a marked improvement over the pool. Maybe our expectations were just low at that point. The main attraction in the center was about a 7/10 for cleanliness. The spa area was probably a 6/10, smelled, and my skin was itching after leaving it. The water slides however appeared to be much cleaner. Close to a 9.5/10. I don't know if maybe the water there is rotated more often of because of the constant movement but even the pool at the bottom of the slide had clear water so that is where we tried to spend the bulk of our time. My recommendation is to have someone immediately test the pool that we visited initially. The Total dissolved solids are probably way too high and the water likely need to be changed. Same for the tub. This will not only make the guest experience better but would likely improve the longevity of the pool as well. Something should also be done with the spa at the waterpark at a minimum. It would also be nice that the Vending machines in the arcade were functioning as we were unable to buy $2 bottled water when we were thirsty and my wife alerted me that tap water in a cup was $1 a peice. Maybe the goal of coco keys is to scare quality consumers away but I would personally not return until I knew there was a big change in cleanliness.-Joshua Gomes

Water resort has no capacity limit, they cell tickets till the end. We spent $187.00 for tickets, two adults and three kids and we were out one hour later. The place was full, you could barely walk by other people. My kids love water parks but here they were asking to leave very soon. When we were living the line for tickets was still long and they were selling tickets. We complaint to the manager, but all he said was: I'm sorry" and went back to sell tickets.Easy money for them, big waste for us.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your experience here. In fact, your experience is very typical for the vast majority of the thousands of people we host every week. Hope to see you again soon.

Cool activity in winter. Feel it's more geared towards 13+under. Coupons can be found on groupon. Hotel packages are readonable.

This water park is atrocious and your child is likely to get sick from the water as mine did. Everything about it is misleading and the website is pure fiction. Three main things: 1) Unsanitary and filthy - the water is a murky grey green color throughout particularly in the basketball dunk pool where you'd be safer health-wise swimming in a swamp. Bathrooms are disgusting with overflowing clogged toilets, paper towels and dirty toilet paper strewn everywhere, floors covered in urine and a horrid stench from overflowing garbage bins and sanitary napkin disposals. The water is dirty with band-aids floating in it, people spitting in the water and many unsavory guests wearing street clothes into the pool despite signs saying only bathing suits allowed but management does nothing about it. No one checks the water and no one cleans up the spilled food or filth. It's an absolute health hazard - my child developed a severe rash and massive hives and began vomiting shortly after coming home from there. Avoid this place like the plague 2). Massive ripoff - $35-45 dollars per person for what is sold as attraction filled large water park which is really small, has only 2 slides, one of which was not open because there are inner tubes stuck in them and the staff was too lazy to remove them and get slide open again. The meandering lazy river as it's advertised is more like a brook that loops around the equivalent of a small basketball court in shallow water with I attentive life guards who let people go around too many times despite line of people waiting to get a tube. Forget letting a younger child go alone as they will get smashed by the pushy obnoxious people at the park and even knocked off while lifeguards do nothing. The "giant dunk pool" is 8x8 if that and overrun by teenagers transported from the inner city basketball courts to this tiny water bog. Then there's a small area with 2 kiddie slides and a big bucket that dumps water on the kids. That's it. Your kids will be done and bored in an hour if your lucky. The food is ridiculously overpriced and foul-tasting. And the worst part is that they make parents pay full admission even though they are not going in the water so in essence you are paying to watch over your own child. 3) Unruly and unsavory guests - rude obnoxious people both adults, teenagers and children pushing, cutting lines, being foul and aggressive. Women wearing Bathing suits that don't even qualify as scraps of fabric practically leaving them naked. Parents taking their babies into the water wearing regular diapers even though they are supposed to wear swimmies. Girls and women wearing shower caps likely stole from the hotel bathroom instead of true swim caps. Horrid horrid behavior by people without any regard for others. For your mental sanity and the health and safety of your children DO NOT come to this place.

This could be a great place, but it's not--if you've ever been to a good water park like Sahara Sams in NJ or H2oooh in PA, do not expect the same experience, though the photos look the same. We arrived on a Sunday; they had no available lockers (all in use), and the hot tub was not functioning. We found the water overall to be too cool (despite ads for 84 degrees--forget that!). It was too crowded. Bathrooms had no toilet paper for HOURS, and only 4 showers/dressing rooms? Excuse me? We returned the next day, only because we had already paid; we tried to call in advance and no one answered the telephone. We arrived, the hot tub was not hot--but at least it was warm. Crowded with over 20 people, including toddlers--in the hot tub, with a sign that you have to be over 18?? No supervision at all! AND the lazy river was not functioning, they said, until 4:00 when the lifeguards for that area would arrive. Inadequate seating; only one area with lounge chairs which fill quickly, and the rest are upright chairs and tables. We didn't see staff clean anywhere near our seating area for hours. Save your money and go to a water park with decent management!

It is 2 degrees outside. One of our rooms' heaters didn't work. After six calls to housekeeping in eight hours, we literally took the heater apart ourselves and finagled it. Here's hoping nothing catches fire tonight. Attached, you can see the melted (?!) lightbulb in one of our rooms. And you can hear what the heater sounds like. Seventh call to the front desk. Still, nothing. Save yourselves.

My Husband, daughter and another family traveled to your resort this weekend. We checked in on Saturday, checked out on Sunday. I was absolutely appalled by our experience. Let me begin by saying, your hotel is absolutely filthy, from the main entrance to our hotel was dirty. The main entrance stairs’ looked like they hadn’t been swept nor washed in days. I understand the weather is making it very difficult for floors to stay clean, however, you should have someone keeping up on them as small children tend to crawl on floors. While we were waiting in the check in line my daughter kneeled on the floor since the seats were all being utilized and I nearly had a heart attack. Your floors had dirt, rocks and garbage all over them, absolutely disgusting! The rugs were just as gross so that wasn’t even an option. I would be embarrassed as an owner to allow guests through your main entrance with it looking as filthy as it did. We get on the elevator and arrive on the second floor to see wires wrapped in black tape. You’re running an indoor water park that is for young children, correct? I would hope that your hotel would be kid friendly, bad assumption on my part, as that is very unsafe. The lamp wire was sitting on the furniture right out in the open. As we walked down the halls to get to our room there was garbage on the rugs and dirty walls. There was food and dirty glasses in the hallway. Our room did not have hand towels or face cloths, the shampoo and conditioner bottles had be used, so they were left in the bathroom to be reused by us, very unsanitary. My husband went to get ice and drinks from the machines, both out of order. He went to the third floor and used the ice machine to find mold in the ice. I have no words for this. Cleaning your ice machines should be done regularly. MOLD in the ice, this is absolutely disgusting! Now on to the water park. Let me say how slimy the floors of the lazy river were. Again, this needs to be cleaned! You cannot just pump chlorine into the water and think it’s going to clean and sanitize the swimming areas. Now for the bathrooms in the water park. We attempted to use the bathroom but could not believe the condition of the women’s room, absolutely appalling! The box to place non-flushable items was overflowing, the toilets were loaded with women’s hair and your toilet bowls looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in days. The floors were disgusting and the walls/doors of the bathroom were filthy. I had to take my wet daughter from the warm water park area to our room to use the bathroom. She is two and the hotel was freezing! Again, completely uncalled for!!!We ordered a kids meal for our daughter and the burger was raw-really? A kids meal burger should be cooked all the way thru!!! I have never written a review in my life and we do a good amount of traveling. I plan on writing reviews where ever I can. I am so angry that your allowing people to believe that the website is an accurate reflection of what the water park and resort offer-they are very wrong from what is the truth.

Thank you for the feedback on your visit here on Sunday. I'm sorry you and your son were disappointed. In checking our logbooks for the day in question, our hourly monitoring of the air and pool temperatures show everything was operating normally. If you could let me know what time you guys were in the park, I will look into it further and see if there is a discrepancy. Thanks again for writing.

While I always appreciate honest and constructive feedback and readily admit to the shortcomings of my property, I am not sure this particular review is real. If you have an issue and would like to discuss it, please get in touch and I will do my best to resolve it.

I'm sorry your experience was not as you expected. Please know however, that the group in the hotel was using the water park BEFORE and AFTER public hours. The covering of the doors was to accommodate their religion beliefs and not intended to offend our other guests in any way.
