We were fortunate enough to be visiting during a production of " 5 Women Wearing the Same Dress" and were able to get tickets for a Sunday 2pm matinee. And lucky it was, because it was a sold out performance in this cozy, mtheatre in the round style, 85 seat theatre. Since the play was a wedding theme, the eclectic lobby area was decorated in wedding reception fashion with the wedding colors, cocktail tables, and a great selection of beer , wine and specialty cocktails ( all at a bargain price...best deal in town). Local musicians were playing blue grass on the small stage, so it was like getting two entertainments in one. The local young actresses ( the 5!) were very good...great comedic timing and delivery. The one male token cameo was kind of a red herring,,,,but hey, I didnt write the play. Play content had a well warranted disclaimer re language ( whew, did it ever...these Southern Belles have certified potty mouths) and content, but attendees were well warned numerous times. Could have gone without an intermission( intermission was after just 45 minutes), and the long pitch black segments during scene changes...gets a bit claustophobic. But overall, the play was new, fresh and thoroughly entertaining.

This is by no means a large theater with unlimited resources. It is a quiant (around 80 seats) little local theater that does some great productions. Mostly locals that want to do some acting, have some fun, and provide entertainment to the community. I have attended several of the productions this season, and find myself always having a great time. They usually provide some live music before the show, have a small snack bar that offers snacks and drinks (soda, wine, beer, mixed cocktails), and give you an opportunity to meet the actors following the show. It's great local talent, that provides for something different to do in the evenings. Give this little local theater a try...you will be surprised at the quality and fun of the productions!

I really enjoy my season tickets at this local venue. Each play and cast is different so pick something that interests you for your first show. It is a small intimate theatre so there are no bad seats. Prior to the play there is always live music to enjoy while sipping a glass of wine or other beverage. If you like local and quaint this is a venue to check out. It does cater to an older crowd so I don't recommend it for young children. I have a teenage boy and he enjoys going with me and his first love is sports!

We have only been to this theatre once, but we will not hesitate to go for another production. Very reasonable ticket prices, everybody has front row seats, and the talent is superb! I highly recommend this theatre company.

Several of our friends and us decided to spend the afternoon in Sonora and attend the Stage 3 Theatre Company. We all easily found a row of seats together. But it didn't really matter because any seat in the theatre would have been a good selection. We saw the one man show, "Looking Over the Presidents' Shoulder". What a wonderful choice! Not only was the acting superb, but the "star" of the show also treated us to a lovely singing voice! During the intermission there was a selection of snacks, plus wine, water and soft drinks. The restrooms were well-maintained and there was ample parking in a lot behind the theatre. All in all, a wonderful experience!

This small theater is a little gem in Sonora and it was one of the highlights of my trip to the area. It is a small, quaint theater with not a single bad seat in the house! We saw the last performance for "A Streetcar Named Desire" and thoroughly enjoyed every minter of the show. The set was fairly simple, yet very effective and versatile. The actors and actresses did an excellent job with their rolled and the show was both humerous, suspenseful and a wonderful emotional drama. This theater and everything about it is adorable. If you are in the area and looking for some art and entertainment, I highly recumbent Stage 3 Theatere Company. You won't be disappointed!

We have been attending plays here for 20 years. They have a selection of plays that are not mainstream which is great for a small town. The theater is small, about 75 seats, and the searing is on 3 sides of the stage. They always do a great job with the stage and costumes, even on a limited budget. A must see if you enjoy an intimate experience and plays that have meaning and heart.

Very small space, but they take on interesting and challenging plays. Usually do them very well. Fences was a miss this year, but Other Desert Cities was excellent.

Small theatre with stage surrounded on three sides by audience - plays are very close and personal. Some plays very intense - many local actors with lots of talent. Lovely gallery area with local art.

The theatre at Stage Three is very small which make their performace that much more intimate. Thoroughly enjoy that aspect of the theatre.

Great cast and interesting theater piece! The theater usually has live music prior to the main performance.

Stage 3 is an intimate 88 seat theater. The talent used is mostly local. The plays they have are excellent ! I have been going to the theater for 8 years and always look forward to the next production. The intimate setting draws you into the play and the subject matter is always thought provoking, enlightening or hilariously funny. Don't miss this great bargain when you visit Sonora !

This 88 seat theater has been in its present location for about 20 years. It is a U shape configuration that has siple sets but the point is always made. The quality of performance is waning a bit but over the years some outstanding theater has come from this lovely environment so I know it can come back.

Stage 3 brings in wonderful artists that are looking for cutting-edge theatre. In addition to jaw-dropping, heart-stopping story lines, audiences should be prepared for the unusual seating arrangement. It is fashioned so it feels like you are looking into ones living room, etc. It is u-shaped with seats very close to the actors. I like the intimacy and while I doubted, it was true that there were no 'bad' seats. The price is right and I really like how they bring in young performers before the play to entertain.

This is a small Theatre with only 85 seats It's in a square "U" shape with not a single bad seat in the place. The sets are some of the best I've ever seen. The acting is top notch and excellent. This is a "DON'T MISS" theatre
