No visit to Worcester could be complete without a tour of the Cathedral. King John's burial place in 1216 is just part of the history. Beautiful stain glass windows. And don't miss the plaques on the wall down by the river showing the tidal levels.

After Living In Worcestershire for the past 30 Years I finally got round to visiting Worcester Cathedral with my Son and we were both so impressed with the Beautiful Architecture and Historic Adornments.I had long wanted to see King Johns Tomb and was very impressed with that and the other tombs.I will visit again later this year and recommend a visit to both local people and travellers alike.

We loved this Cathedral. It has a lovely feel about it, interesting history and it's simply stunning. Everything about it is spectacular; the beautiful stained glass windows, the pillars, the organ and the carvings....it's an impressive place to visit and it's free!I would definitely visit again if I was passing this way. It is breathtakingly beautiful.

Well worth a visit if you are in Worcester as Cathedral go its one of the best we have seen and spent a good hour looking at the different areas and its where King John of Magna Carta fame is entombed. Had some food in the cloisters cafe which was fine for the price. The lady at the entrance was very knowledgeable about what to see.

One of the country's finest examples of post Norman cathedral architecture. Look for the wonderful roodscreen carvings and currently there is information about the 800 year celebrations of the Magna Carta

We decided to spend time exploring this beautiful Cathedral. Just spending a few minutes staring up at the incredible and ornate ceiling supported by immense stone pillars it is absolutely breath-taking. Built in the eleventh century with the most beautiful carvings and shaped stonework, it almost defies belief that a structure as wonderful as this could have been built completely by hand with such amazing architecture and thought. Well worth a visit if you are in Worcester.

Magnificent cathedral overlooking the River Severn. Lots of information about the Magna Carts as celebrating 800 years of its existence! We had the pleasure of listening to the Worcestershire University Choir, which sounded beautiful. I love the Cloisters and the cafe was very reasonable and served gluten free cakes. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Just love the Worcester Cathedral. I go often - sometimes to look around, other times just to sit and look at all the beautiful stained glass and/or listen to musicians practising. All the volunteer stewards are always so lovely and courteous.

When you live nearby attractions they are often overlooked as you feel you can see them anytime. However whenever family or friends visit they ask to visit and are blown away when they do. I usually enter the grounds from the River entrance as I feel that a stroll along the river and then entering from that direction gives a better impression of the City. The Cathedral is of course full of History which has been covered in many reviews, it is simply a must see when visiting Worcester. If there is any Caveat it relates to disabled access as too often it is difficult to find staff who are able to operate the "lift" for wheelchairs
