Dear Tony,Thank you for a great review of Nedbalka. Actually yes the skylight interior could evoke Guggenheim but it was never the intention of owners. The Skylight construction was built in 1993 for a commercial bank and the building was acquired by current owners almost 2 decades later.Regards,Michal

Me and me mates went. It was oright but it only had Slovakian art. They didn't ave ne proper art like Picasso an stuff. You'd fink considerin van gogh spent ten years of his life producing 2100 pieces of art including 860 oil paintings, they would of had at least had one. The woman follows you round so reamsy let one rip. Shouda seen her face.

This place is a gem and definitely worth a visit, whether you are an art lover or not. It covers 20th century Slovak art in a nicely renovated building in the old city.

I'll be honest, I know next-to-nothing about Slovak art and artists, so I found it really interesting to learn more while wandering around this lovely, uncluttered gallery. It was quite quiet when we got there (quite soon after the 1pm opening time on, I think, a Tuesday or Wednesday) so we had most rooms to ourselves, which made it a really nice, unhurried experience. Entry fee, as others have noted, is very reasonable at Eur4 per person, including a tea or coffee in the cafe. Obviously art is down to personal preference - there were some things I loved and some I really didn't, but all were interesting in some way. Well worth a visit.

Lovely gallery worth a visit - excellent price - 4Euros and tea or coffee included in ticket. Lovely atmosphere. Would visit again.

Well laid out and lit, well worth a visit. Was 4 euros for entry and a free tea/coffee, not sure if it could have been cheaper without drinks as we opted to get a drink outside afterwards. Covers Slovakian modern art from the early days forward, not really going as far as recent contemporary art.

A wonderfully lit, modern inside gallery with some beautiful art, I loved the Milan Paštéka, some fine modern art pieces. The gallery is set on four floors, with a funky lift, and an impressive interior resembling the Guggenheim in New York. There are sculptures, and some fine Slovakia landscapes from the likes of Mednyánszky. Essential for a visit whilst in this wonderful city.

If you are interested in modern art and sculptures and paintings this is the place, it's a private gallery with high quality art displayed. And that building and ceiling is amazing, it's a must-see :)
