Visited the Alpincenter with my girlfriend in March 2014 and would not recommend it to anyone. The ski piste is completely iced on most of the areas, making a normal downhill almost impossible. I was skiing, my girlfriend was on her snowboard; we didn't like it at all.The way down is a let-down, but the way up, on the conveyor belt is also very slow and uncomfortable. It stops many times on the way up, because people don't know how to use it. For kids or beginners the Alpincenter might be a good choice, but this place looks outdated to me and I'm looking for alternatives.

Iv been here a number of times before, and iv normally had a good time and iv left positive reviews in the past, however I went this weekend and I was shocked, to start off they are now charging for parking which is obserd due to the fact that the car park could not be used by anybody else. But the whole centre was dangerously overcrowded, there Wes just no room to ski at all wherever you were on the piest you were about 1 meter from another person, so you had to ski with full bakes on and spend all the time avoiding people, at the bottom of the ski lift there was 2 massive queues that were taking over half an hour to get through, esp with the usual German pushing to the front as per usual,And there was also a queue the literally went across the piest all the way for a learner area, which was very dangerous as everybody had to stop dead and try to squeeze past.I think that this is the last time I will ever visit as I feel that it was a complete waist of money,

We love it here - great value and great fun. We are a family of 3 teenage son all snowboarders - all inclusive day tickets allows you to eat as much as you wish when you want and drink of soft drinks. You also get a card which allows you 3 free beers. I would say we have been many a time and had a great time as it hasn't been to packed - however the last visit 2 days after new year it was PACKED - huge que getting onto the lift and very busy slopes - but apart from that visit we have had a wonderful time each time we have visited.

Iv been before, it is a great evening , there are many different times you can go, but I prefer to go at 1600 and stay for the evening, for 38 euro you get free rental free meal , buffet, and three tree drinks, it used to be unlimited free drinks, but it's not that important as I usually drive anyway,It is a very addictive sport to take up, I will be visiting a lot more often.

I'm an Englishman who has visited bottrop many times and I have to say I'm shocked by some of the negative reviews. I ski a lot and although an indoor ski slope can no way compare with the real thing this is one of the best I've been too. I also love that you entrance fee includes all your food from the buffet area and drinks including beer. A great day out with friends where you can ski, have a drink and have lots of fun.

Fantastic deal compared to the prices at all the other indoor slopes I have visited. Great place if you are a beginner/intermediate skier. Wide "green" slopes to practice your skills. All the staff we came across spoke perfect English and were very helpful. The food was an all you can eat buffet which was perfectly good for the price, with lots of choice for all tastes - only a food snob would insult this service. Go mid-week and get there for 10 o'clock and book the half day ticket which means you can ski until 3pm and then eat for the rest of the day! What more could you want.

After a vist to the Alpin centre in Bottrop today I can only emphasise to others not to go there. There are much better snow domes elsewhere. Even if this was on my doorstep, I would drive to another one. The one in Landgraaf is apparently 100m or so shorter but it certainly does not feel it. The condition of the snow at Bottrop was appalling. It was mostly ice. The small bit that had snow was just a very thin covering. I would suggest any other snow dome other than this one - don't be lured by the fact it is the longest like we were. Also, the last bit is up hill and pointless and everyone was walking up it. We had heard bad reviews but decided to dismiss them and try it for ourselves. We wish we hadn't bothered and had spent another day in Landgraaf instead. The food was OK, the building was run down but OK, the trouble is the snow was absolute rubbish, in fact, we don't even know how they call it snow....We have visited many snow domes as we are keen boarders but we can't even imagine how first timers can enjoy this place (we can only presume they know no different). It could be an amazing place with more investment/customer service, but unfortunately the snow (or lack of it) let it down terribly.

I'm no expert on these things since it was my first time but I loved this place. We had a snowboard lesson for two hours and after that we could try it by our selves. Big hall, all you can eat food which was very tasty. Negative thing is that most of the people that work there don't speak English. We've enjoyed it though!

On arrival we had to queue outside the building for 40 minutes as the place was so busy that all gear had been rented out. Waiting inside was not an option, it was cold but thank goodness it was dry. Once inside, the queue for the till was endless as a result of very inefficient staff. Buying a cup of coffee to drink while we were waiting was not possible which was really disappointing after we had driven 3 hours to get here. Tickets are sold on an "all inclusive" or "entry and rental only"basis. You can not buy drinks or food with euros once inside. We quickly learned why - if you could, I am sure noboyd would. Desperate for our cup of coffee we paid the extra 12,50 euro to get an all in inclusive ticket. We walked into the "restaurant" where we found many long tables but hardly any chairs or benches, which meant we had to drink our coffee and eat our meal standing up. The bar offered a limited selection of pre poored drinks (i.e. no fizz in the coke) and coffee from a thermo flask. The "buffet"was a joke - consisting of two thick and bad smelling soups, enourmous tasteless chicken legs, meatballs in tomato sauce, potato dishes and french fries. It confirmed my worst memories of German cooking right there in one place. I imagine prison food will be better - hospital food certainly is a treat compared to this. Then the skiing. rental gear was of average to poor quality and my husnband's first set of ski shoes were wet - no surprise since they are all going straight from one person's feet to the next without drying or anything like that. Pretty much all the tiny lockers for bags etc were rented out so nowhere to leave your stuff. We finally found one - they cost 2 euro's, purportedly one euro rent and onbe despoit, but we never saw any of the money back. If you wnat to open the locker to get something out, you need to put in another 2 euros to close it again, so make sure you are well organised. The single slope itself was ok and long and there were some nice little bumps etc on one side of the piste - though at the bottom you had to wade through some 50 meters of deep snow to get to the lift (a supe rlong flying carpet). This walk through the deep snow was particulalry hard work for beginners who are not yet comfortable in their shoes and carrying their gear. It certainly put the smaller children off and was the main reason we stopped skiing sooner then planned. The exit of the lift was about a chaotic as the queue to get in - this time because for 10 meters there was ONLY ice at the top. Again, not great for the beginners among us as there was no way to avoid this. Towards the end of the day we took a break in one of the bars at the entrance and the one at the top of the piste. Both were absolutely awful. They were dark, dingy, crowded and for some inexplicable reason people were allowed to smoke in ALL bars. As a result of the ridiculously loud music we could not hear each other and having allready decided these smoky discotheques were not exactly the best place to take our children, we left after one quick drink. Needless to say we did not eat here before embarking on our 3 hour car journey back home. Tips: Don't go. Just drive on for another 60 - 90 minutes and go skiing on real mountains in Willingen.

To crowdes, skiing was impossible. All Inclusive formula is an obligation, food is horrible, no ambiance. Foodcourt seemed to have a lack of chairs, sitting was impossible. The skihall was ok but can somebody tell me the clue behind the enormous walk uphill to the lift after every 2 minutes drive dowm it took a massive load of enery to get uphill again. Next time we will drive to Willingen wich is just another hour on the German Autobahn

Slechte kwaliteit eten.Ontbijt, lunch, diner is precies hetzelfde.
