The 6th largest Roman colosseum in the world and one of the best to reserved. For 20 Kuna ($3) you can't go wrong. It was a fascinating place to imagine what life must have been like for a gladiator, or the thousands in the seats watching the gruesome events play out in the sands on the arena floor.

Very impressive site- we enjoyed going around the area (which at the time visited is not busy). The small museum downstairs is very informative. There are a few artifacts worth looking at.

This is a wonderful place to see, both at day and night. Was on a budget holiday, so didn't pay to enter so can't say about that. Have been to the Collosseum in Rome and the one in Pula seems more impressive as it isn't so built up around

I recently visited the Arena in Pula. I'm not really into museums and artifacts etc so didn't pay the entry fee but I got some great pictures from the outside both by day and by night. We were only in Pula for one day so the Arena was a great 'must-see' attraction.

This impressive structure looks like the young sister of the Collosseum but make no mistake, it's structurally much better looking and when you consider the age of this beauty it would leave you awe struck. I would not spend the 40 kuna to walk inside as you can see everything pretty much from outside and there is no real great advantage for walking through it but if you want to experience the full thing then 40 kuna really ain't that much to spend.

besides everything well known about the great arena I will highly recommend to walk downstairs to view the underground of the ancient times, if You do not have a guide ask coz many of the displays are scattered and perhaps You might miss sth interesting...

Stayed in Pula for three nights during a summer festival. I visited the arena both during the day and then later at night for a concert. Both times you are taken back both by its beauty but also it's raw value. So simple in design yet with intricate details that really show off what the Roman architects could achieve, and this is only a small arena! I was very happy to have appreciated this well preserved piece of Latin history during the day, and be humbled by its fantastic acoustic values at night.

Pula has rich set of traces of time that belonged to the Roman Empire. His most famous ex-libris is the Amphitheater, locally known as Arena, built by Emperor Vespasian in the first century It is in reasonable condition, and the care of people, as everywhere in Croatia, is always very good.

Everyone goes to Rome to see the Great Arena......this one is much smaller but very well preserved, It is still used for concerts, movies, and other programs. Pula is an interesting town, get a city bus pass and tour the area....beaches are different....mostly stone or rock cliffs, but the water is great. People are very friendly and excited to meet Americans. Lots of walking places to visit round the town.

For people who live in Pula Arena is something so normal that they not even noticed that they are passing by. But for turist it is place of interest and first on the list to see. For people from Pula it is place where they go for conecerts, opera and movie's but for other it is really remarcable Roman monument which you can see only few in the world. Pula's Arena is build from white stones and it is more like this one in Verona, but for me this one is nicest. To sit at the Arena on concert in the night is something to remember for life. If you are not someone who loves past and monuments it is also place for peacefull moments. Just sit and meditate........

You can almost feel the history in this place considering it's over a THOUSAND years old. If you haven't been here and you've been to Pula, then you haven't really seen Pula.

If there's one thing to see in Pula it's the amphitheatre! We were lucky to get an amazing guide that showed us around the historival building and told os everything worth knowing. She told us that during the summer there are concerts held at the amphitheatre and that would be an amazin experience!

I would consider this to be the star of Pula. The is plenty paid parking just below the entrance. Do not miss the museum under the floor of the Arena. It cost 40 hrk.
