This museum is a place where you discover, touch and feel tradition. Very rich collection of agriculture tools and utensils , crafts, textiles and clothing, musical instruments, photo gallery and furniture and interior. You can see the unique painting by Ivan Murkvichka “Market in Plovdiv”

We visited this museum with my kids. It's very nice, has a lot of artifacts you can look at and it really gives a good idea of what life looked like 200 years agoI must say, however, that the information about all rooms is not that much and had it not been for the guided tour, I would have gone through this fairly quick. A tour gets you into very interesting details and the kids absolutely dived into history.Would recommend the museum to try making this museum a bit more informative, maybe give free audio guides, etc

We really enjoyed visiting this museum. I really enjoyed learning about the history of Plovdiv and Bulgaria and found it quite interesting. Well worth a visit and doesn't take too much time. Beautiful architecture as well.

This is one of the two most gorgeous houses in the old town. it is remarkable from the outside and equally remarkable from the inside

I really liked this museum. It was full of interesting exhibits and one could pass through quickly or take one's time. I like that. I learned much about the history and culture here.

Not very big but very interesting to see. It is in old town very close to city center just a few minutes by walking. Must to see.

The Ethnographic Museum in Old Plovdiv, Bulgaria must have many stories to tell if walls could speak. I think anyone visiting Plovdiv should take the time to see this architectural wonder and the exhibitions offered are interesting as well. I found many things of interest both historically and artistically. The staff are friendly and English speakers will be comforted to know that they are easily accommodated.

This museum gives great insight to the everyday life of the Bulgarian past. Great displays on clothing, textiles, celebrations, art and trades. Well done.

This museum is located in an old typical Bulgarian house with a garden. The atmosphere is really authentic, therefore it is worth visiting. The entry fee is 5lv (good value for the money). I especially enjoyed the small collection of Bulgarian jewellery in the last chamber.

So-so. You have a bunch of different exhibits displaying clothing, tools, jewelry, etc. traditional to the area. You can do the whole museum in under 30 min. House and grounds are awesome. Had higher hopes once we entered the area. Only cost 5 Lev. Was worth the price of admission.

Plovdiv as a city is not very interesting for me, but this museum is really excellent! It is charming from outside, but inside you have the great collection of typically bulgarian things and interiors. So, visiting this place - is to be plunged into cultural heritage of Bulgaria.

The fabric of the building is in need of some repair and the displays dated, but the building is a lovely wooden house. The craftsmanship is very obvious. The costumes are interesting and the "life styles" of the past are documented in object and photos. Worth a quick look around and there is a small gift/book shop in the entrance. Very friendly lady at the desk and worth some time to look at life here a hundred years ago.

This museum was housed in an interesting wooden building (1847) adding to the character of the museum. Both the interior and exterior are decorated in floral designs and the ceiling beams in each room are hand carved. There is also a well kept garden. It is only small but depicts the history of the farming, way of life, costumes and textiles of the area..

If you are a big fan of Museums, re-think about not visiting this Museum that will show you lots about how earlier generations of Bulgarian People used to live/dress. Otherwise, it's nothing to really want to desperately visit, in my humble opinion! But, it all depends on one's likings and taste, as is the case, most of the times...

A fascinating collection of artefacts from mainly recent Bulgarian history. Lovely vast window seat on first floor with refreshing breeze and view out of window over old city.
