This Nature phenomen is placed very near to the West coast and is a speciel sight. A little desert in a klitplantage which is very unusual. You must see it to believe it :-) Have fun !

Impressively overwhelming landscape. You need at least one day to explore this dune. To me it felt like walking through a desert. Take your pictures and enjoy the ailent nature there.A must see for nature lovers and global trotters.

The landscape is so magical with vegetation and great sand dune, just can not believe that this is still Europe because from the view this is like in sahara or any desert. the yellow bright sand in contrast with dark blue sky and white clouds moving past creating great shadow in the hilly green pale vegetation of Rabjerg Mile is just amazing ! great place for hiking or just walking along the desert and the sun set is amazing also here with many color in the sky.

Unbelievable view when first passing through different kind of vegetation and just suddenly there is only loads of sand in front of you. The walk up is a tough one, remember to bring your water bottle with you, but the view from the up is breathtaking.

A must see if in the region, especially if you have children- ours (aged 3 and 5) loved it and could have spent hours here!

Absolutely worth a visit. Great place for a walk with the family. Be sure to see both the front in the east and the back in the west.

I was there 15 years ago and it's amazing how it has changed since then. So interesting to look at the sea, the forest, and the sand dunes around you. It seems to be working it's way away from the sea and into the forest over time. A great place to stop for a visit on the way to or from Skagen (another must-see).

I did not want to miss this attraction, but did not want to join the 2 hour hike through it our group had planned so I made a quick visit to see it. We took a taxi from Skagen and I had the taxi driver wait for me. The cost was about 250 DKK each way (20 min drive). It is amazing to see such a huge sand dune in the middle of Denmark. The sand is very soft and fine and was a bit difficult to walk in but you can't really appreciate it until you climb to the top and see the extent of the sand dune. You can see all the way out to the sea. Comfortable shoes are recommended. The rest of our group stayed to see the sunset and were amazed with the view and the colours. If you are there in the evening, it gets chilly even in the summer, so take a sweater or a jacket.

Still amazed that we found Sand dunes about a mile hike in to a hard to find area. We were worried that the hills with scattered grass was all we would see, but keep going! Make sure you mark you path back - because once you trample over a couple of dunes, you will need help getting back! I would rate this the second greatest free find in Denmark!

It blew much when we visited the very special landscape that is formed by a "walking" dune. It was almost a minor sandstorm and our visit was therefore shortened a bit. We also took a quick trip to Mårum Kirke. A special experience to see "nature against man".

A very different kind of nature to visit in Denmark. Might have expected it to be bigger, but it's still a good impression of how it "eats" it way through the landscape.

If you're in the area, you HAVE TO GO. You're walking along grassy dunes, then all of a sudden, it's like you're in the dessert. Was not expecting this. Pictures don't do it justice. No admission charge. Bring camera!
