It's something you can visit in 4 minutes sharp.A bunch of "artistic" cat sculptures by many artists. In a green area next to a noisy high trafficked street. However you won't find much more to see in Cali, so enjoy it slowly!

This is a great place to stop by in Cali. Specially after they put the female cats, the place got a much better looking. It is safe, relaxing and cultural.

We are biased. We love cats. We have a beautiful Siamese kitty, and love cats. We love what the artist has done with the works and captured the many personalities cats have! Well done and fun! MEOW!!

Yes it's just a bunch of painted cat sculptures... but it's a long a really cool river walk, and if you can read some Spanish, the signs that explain the meaning behind the cats make it worth the walk.Grab some ice cream from Ventolini (right across the street) and then stroll down the river looking at the cats. Makes for a nice relaxing, cool, afternoon.

I would suggest you visit it with another plan. There are many nice restaurants nearby. If you are in Cali it is good you go see it but don't expect much. We went to see them when we returned from our visit to the city's xmas lighting decoration.

This is a great place for a 10 min walk and some pictures. It is safe and there were young policemen guarding the area. What is hectic is the traffic and the crossing of the street. Nobody stops and there is no designated crossing zone for pedestrians.

I booked a tour through Marvel Tours Cali. My bilingual tour guide, Oscar, took me to this park along the river. The Gato de Tejada was very neat. It was nice to see local artists exhibiting their work in a permanent, well maintained, location. Each Gato has a story and all of them are unique. A few of the Gato's have been moved to other locations around town, so you'll end up seeing some of the traveling Gato's in your travels throughout Cali. A nice walk in the park while looking at some fun, creative artwork. I'd recommend checking it out.

First of all, I love mi GATO de TEJADA. There is not a better emblem now for the city of Cali than that of el gato de tejada y sus novias.Folklore rumors that the cat (el gato de Tejada) is surrounded by his females cats (las novias) such as men here in the city of Cali have access to so many women,( or @ least this was the anaolgy my cab driver offered to tell me when I went there for the first time when I asked him why the cat had so many "novias".) Part of Caleños tall tales not only include their boasts of having the most beautiful women of Colombia but that each Caleño is entitled to 7 women. Anyway, the park is small and sits by the river bank on your way to other attractions. Make this a stop to take pics on your way to the zoo or Cristo Rey. Enjoy a local shop of ice cream (Ventolini) and local pastries or lunch during the day. If you are going in the evening stop at the Obelisco and try their traditional empandas!Take pics with the amusing "novias" which are creatively painted by Tejada. You haven't been in Cali if you do not have a pic by El Gato de Tejada!

I went after going to Cristo Rey. It's not a large park but nice to stroll and see artwork. The park is alongside el Rio Cali which is cool. You can get ice cream or something to eat nearby. Theres tons of food/pastry spots all over Cali....

A few cat statues with some stories written on signs. Only come if you have nothing else to do...................

Squeezed between number of gravity trafficked roads, this small pearl just shows up. 16 decorated cats, looks like mire are to come or some have been taken away. This nice little park with art cats are such a pleasure here in Cali. Nice just to relax on a bench looking at the cats and the small river flowing just along the river.

As a cat lover I loved this park. Every single one of them has a story. They're big so one can take pictures with them. Is well located, so one can enjoy a good meal or dessert. The "Empanaditas del Obelisco" are a MUST!

I'm a cat lover so this park was something I've never seen before. About 15 different cats with different stories attached to each one. Very cool and a fun way to spend an hour in Cali

Please include a visit to see the Gatos on your visit to Cali. I would suggest including a stop here with another attraction. This is of course a great photo op so be prepared to take some fun photos. If you are touring by taxi; have your driver wait to the side of the road. Mind the cars and motorcycles. Asking for 10 minutes if you are in a pinch for time. Tip your drive for standing by, a little bit of pesos can go a long way and your drive will appreciate your appreciation. If you are a complete enthusiast you can also see more Gatos in the lobbies of some hotels including the Intercontinental if you want a complete photo collection!Enjoy.
