Mammoth is an impressive, gothic-like cave that could easily be described...

A really good example of a limestone cavern displayed as it should be. The self-guided audio was very informative and allowed everyone to do the tour at his own pace. No one mentioned the 160 steps back to the top - we should have read previous reviews!

Awesome experience. The cave is huge and the formations that have formed over hundreds of thousands of years are beautiful. The tour is self guided with a player and headset and is very informative. A must see in Margaret River.

The audio tour was very interesting & the walkway was easy to navigate. A choice of an brief or longer bushwalk back, the longer one was not challenging at all and very interesting including fauna information. Well worth a visit, for sure

Mammoth Cave which isn't too far away (a few minutes by car) from Lake Cave. This offers a self guided tour with an audio guide. Just press the numbers on the plaque at points of interest and away you go. The Mammoth Cave is mammoth! Very different to the Lake Cave. I was astounded to learn from the Lake Cave tour that a limestone ridge runs from cape to cape and the ridge is full of caves. The formations are really spectacular and the audio guide gives you useful commentary. Then it's a 160+ step climb to the very top. I'm pretty sure I could see a few beehives mounted on the side of the openings of the cliff face. Once at the top, you go for a bit of a bush walk to get back to the entrance. The cave goes under Caves Road as you have to cross this road.

This is a self guided tour and the entry is reasonably priced. Please wear flats to this place as it is just easy to walk. Take your time and see the place. You will be given a headset and a tape before you enter the caves, the audio is very detailed and good. There are so many stalagmites, stalactites and other limestone deposits that it is simply amazing. I would suggest people who have trouble climbing stairs to avoid this place. It may become very tiring. But a must visit otherwise.

The tour is self guided, which allows you to take the time to soak up the atmosphere or take photographs at your own pace. Not as crowded as the other caves, so no annoying flashes from cameras going off. It is isolated and serene, truly beautiful. Beware of the steps coming out though - THERE ARE SO MANY! And even more steps to come back to the car park. So if you are not fit, just be prepared.

I have never been in this type of cave. What an amazing place. Natural beauty at its best. The admission is reasonable and you have an audio as is self guided which was our preference and the audio was very knowledgeable

Dear Megh D,Thanks for taking the time to post feedback on your visit to Mammoth Cave, and I'm sorry that you were disappointed. We try to keep our prices as low as possible so that the caves are accessible to everyone for a reasonable fee. Unlike a lot of other caves around Australia, we don't operate with government subsidies. We are a non-profit membership-based tourism organisation and we depend on ticket income to maintain the cave infrastructure and the cave precincts. Our maintenance costs are pretty high, because we work hard to guarantee a safe and rewarding experience for people visiting a natural landscape with a variety of potential hazards. We offer discounted entry to all holders of the Australian Seniors Card, Centrelink Aged Pension Card, Department of Veteran Affairs Card, and the Companion Card. We also offer a discounted ticket which covers all three of the caves that we look after - Lake Cave, Mammoth Cave and Jewel Cave, and saves visitors $11.Thanks again for the feedback, and safe travels.

This is a self-guided tour which we found really easy to followThe cave is the easiest of the three caves to move around in We really enjoyed all three caves as they were all interestingly different

Not much i can say about this as you just have to see it for yourself. There are a number of these cave walks you can do in the area but we chose Mammoth as we were advised it was self guided with head sets which we liked as we could take our time & take in the experience. A number of other cave tours were guided on the hour.I have no doubt they would all be amazing to see. Mother Nature is just so amazing.

This cave is very well maintained and easy for both children and pregnant ladies to visit. The path is very well sign-posted and there is a wealth of information shared on the formation of the cave.If you have to choose only one of the three caves to visit, this is the easiest one to move around in.

Loved touring the Mammoth Cave with our Narrowcasters recorded guide. Lovely to take you own time to enjoy the formations. Best part was being in the cave alone for most of the tour - weekday, not school holidays! Highly recommend.

This is one of the three caves I visited. Beautiful. They give an audio tape for you to listen. No guide needed for this tour. But of course lot of energy to walk around. Gets very cold inside.
