Great wines, not bad prices and a good honest family business.I do like their wines and proud to have a winery like this in Qld. The Durif, the Tempranillo and the Vermentino are highlights for me.

This winery will convince you that it is possible to make top level wines in Qld - 3rd generation Italian descendants now making 5 star quality wines according to James H and he is right. The emphasis on grapes other than main stream Australia (French varieties) has paid off handsomely with the entry level wines exception value for money and the reserve wines are of distinction. And there are occasional degustation dinners!

This local, family run winery represents the best of the Granite Belt experience with an industrious Italian family producing excellent wine recognised nationally by James Halliday as a 5 star winery, plus many other accolades. It's quite possible you'll be talking to the owners/winemakers when tasting. And all customers are made to feel welcome, whatever your budget.

This is a terrific little winery near Stanthorpe. We had a most enjoyable tasting experience, with the woman behind the bar being very helpful, knowledgeable and proud of the products. She was generous in the serves offered for tasting, and unlike some other places, didn't look down her nose at customers. We bought 2 dozen wines to enjoy, partly because of the excellent service, but mostly because they were delicious and well priced.

If you are looking for different tasting and different wine styles as part of your Ballandean wine experience then this family run vineyard should be on your list. It is great to hear about the history of the vines from a passionate family member too, who can also suggest perfect food matches for your wines.

Good wide variety of interesting wines. Worth a visit. One of the newer better Ballandean Wineries. It will be a pleasant surprise. Try the Durif.

Golden Grove is easy enough to find and they have quite a large range of wines available for tasting. They are also on the "Strangebirds" wine trail in the Granite Belt. The Strangebirds are those alternative, lesser-known varieties that are starting to become popular in Australia. These include (at Golden Grove) barbera, durif, malbec, mourvedre, tempranillo, vermentino and nero d'avola. The wines are pretty good and reasonably priced. Some of the varieties may not be to everyone's taste but they are definitely worth trying. Some of the wines at Golden Grove did not have the qualities that we were used to in a particular variety and this has probably influenced my rating of this winery - but my tastes may be different to yours. Try them out and make up your own mind - there's no pressure to buy just because you've tried them out.One last thing that should be mentioned - this winery has clean toilet facilities, something that some of the other wineries lack.
