It has been years since there was the famous tree up there.Too bad the maoris took it and left it a hill without its rigeous name no moreone tree hill is one of the true auckland sites and it should be on your list of must go when you arrive there. Try to build a name for yourself with the volcanic rocks 一树山目前已经没有了那棵树但是依旧是奥克兰市的必去风景之一可以尝试着下到火山口里用火山岩石拼拼自己的名字哦

It actually rained for about 5minutes but it was such a hot day it was welcomed and certainly didn't spoil our visit to this beautiful spot!

Easy to access by car but a decent walk if you want the exercise. Gives an amazing view of Auckland City

We happened to be staying near for one night and saw this place on a map. Luckily we decided to investigate what one tree hill was. A great place to visit but if you want to walk it, you need to be fairly fit as it's mostly uphill and strenuous. It's hard in the summer also due to the heat but we saw busses going up and tours so you should be able to get up easy enough. No tree unfortunately but there is a story about it which you can learn at the top. Great views all the way to the centre and sky tower, well worth visiting.

Great value - fantastic coffee - pure freshly squeezed orange - done right before your eyes - afterward enjoy a stroll in a fabulous farm park with cows sheep and chickens

Already reviewed, but will do again. This is not as advertised as Mt. Eden, but if you only do one, this is the one to do. Great views of all of Auckland. Don't miss this.

Stopped here as friends had reccomended from their last trip to Auckland. Pop over to Mt Eden for a much better view and its closer to the downtown area

We drove up here through Cornwall Park. Very good 360 degree views of Auckland not much else there. Parking is a problem

A good walk up to the monument through fields and trees, mind the sheep. drove to the top on second visit. brilliant views all round of Aukland and surrounding areas but choose a clear day without wind and rain to see it all.

Twice over this summer we have climbed One Tree Hill - both times with grandchildren - one lot visiting from the UK. You can drive up (limited parking and narrow road) but it is more fun to park at the bottom by the Ice cream kiosk - plenty of parking there - and climb straight up the side. If you are lucky you will wander through a paddock that has cows grazing - our 6 yr old granddaughter had never been that close to a cow - they took little notice of us. The well worn path is easy to follow with most of it being effortless; good footwear recommended. Once at the top the city of Auckland is spread out before you, a 360 degree panorama. Before climbing up you may like to watch the history of One Tree Hill - a video that runs in a little theater attached to the information center - this gives information around the forming of the volcano, the history of the local Maori tribes that lived there, and how the area came to be a public park. If you have young children with you, the promise of an ice cream when they get back down again, works wonders. Great ice creams! All up with children - an hour.

Adjacent to Cornwall park, it is a great vantage point for viewing Auckland. There is very limited parking and some walk or drive to the summit. Free entry. The volcano crater is an interesting sight. We spent about 15 - 30 minutes at the site, soaking in the view and wandering around. You don't need much more time than that.

What a fantastic place. Even though there is now no longer a tree on the hill there is still a reason to go to the top - the great views. There is no charge and cars are able to drive all the way to the top for those less able to walk to the top.

We stopped here on our way to the airport. It is easy to kill an hour here just taking in the 360* panorama. Perfect way to end our akl stay. There aren't too many places that offer views this expansive or display both harbours so that it is possible to see how narrow the land is. The old stonework is classic Auckland architecture - probably convict labour. What a good scheme that was.
