Now improved comparing to my first stop over Camiguin island particularly Benoni Port when it was still part of Mis Or. province. Tanguines Lagoon is the home of the Marine Sanctuary managed by the Bureau of Fisheries. They welcome tourist for a short tour. They are proud to bring you around. There is also a nice restaurant close to this area.

From the Benoni Port in Mahinog, if you move along the provincial circumferential road in a clockwise direction, you will surely see the Tanguines Lagoon which is just nearby, which is part of the Benoni Marine Sanctuary. The narrow entrance road along the right side edge of the lagoon which will take you to the floating restaurant. And you could see a variety of fish and sea creatures waiting to be fed. They also have a variety of fresh seafood available which you could order fried, grilled, "kilawen", or cooked with soup. Then in front of the lagoon is the main part of the marine sanctuary which is protected by the local government where the kids were eager to get there samples of marine creatures.

Just a few meters from J&A Fish Pen Restaurant is a bureau of fisheries fish pen. Here they are growing pen but I asked an employee to give us a quick tour. They have several large pens with fingerlings to large 15 kilo fish. I didn't know they could grow that big. Its not made for tourist so you have to walk carefully on small planks laid out on plastic barrels. Our guide tossed out some fish feed and soon we had a massive fish ball devouring their meal. In another pen hugh fish gulped what was tossed to them. They will be attempting to raise other variety of fish to develop a sustained fish farm.

If possible, add fresh sources of water to flow to the lagoon. It will improve salinity and propagate more crustaceans. Plant more fast growing coconuts at the side and flower bearing trees.
