Queen Wilhelmina State Park Lodge closed on March 5, 2012, to undergo a major renovation. It will reopen late spring 2015. This temporary closure applies to the entire lodge including all 38 guest rooms, the restaurant, lobby, meeting room, and restrooms. All other facilities at Queen Wilhelmina State Park, including the campground and trails, remain open. Park offices and gift shop are temporarily located near the entrance to the park campground. .We hope you will plan a return visit to Queen Wilhelmina State Park Lodge after it reopens late Spring 2015.

The lodge is being renovated but there's still camping up there. Just a short trip to Mena for any needed supplies. Excellent park atop Rich Mountain and on the scenic and unforgettable Talimena drive. A sight to behold, especially in autumn, with over 20 vista views. In winter though you need to check with the park for road conditions as it is not maintained in most areas. Absolutely love it there! One of my favorite places. Definitely a must see.

beautiful drive to the park. Views from the park are spectacular, but you must hike to them now. We will go back when the lodge and restaurant reopen.

I have been here many times and was a little disappointed to see the lodge closed for remodeling where I was there recently. It is a good rest stop along the Talimena trail.

The view is grand. The food was great, rooms vintage but after remodel we will have to see. Multi million dollar project. Should be grand and glorious once again.

My husband and I camped here for our first time over the long weekend. We are so amazed with this campground!!! Super friendly staff, very clean and neat and a very relaxed atmosphere with a nice view! The bath house is large and clean. Everyone walks around and visits like we are all old friends! I'm so glad we have found this little jewel, we will be frequent visitors! Two thumbs up!!

The campground was very well kept up and located on the Talimena Scenic Hwy. The short road up to the campground off of US270 (preferred way if you're driving an RV) is more like a wide driveway but very doable. There is an old steam locomotive on display at the state park along with a small train that campers can ride around the campground. Deer coming out to graze are a common site in the evening. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. The only drawback if any would be the absence of sewer hook ups (a dump station is available) and at this date the lodge is still under construction.

We stayed here in the RV park area last weekend. It was beautiful very well kept, clean bathrooms! Few people were there so not everyone top of each other like other RV parks. Park volunteers were informative and nice too. Originally we wanted to camp in the Winding Stairs Camp Ground but when we get there it was closed! It wasn't in good condition at all!

The drive through this park on the border of the Arkansas/Oklahoma line is beautiful with lots of places to stop and just enjoy the view! WE did stop by the lodge which is currently under renovation but should be opening again soon! We have pictures with totem poles made by the Quichata Indians and there are lots of rock stores to explore and find your favorites!

Great views! There is a store that serves bluebell icecream and has a small train that goes around the mountain. The couple that run the store are super nice and tell you all the good info around the area. I would highly recommend it.

I liked the little train ride there as did my wife and 3 year old daughter. The little store offered hand dipped blue bell ice cream which was nice. Clean park with not a whole lot to see there but a nice stop however. Lodge is still closed but wasn't interested in that aspect of it anyway.

Lake Wilhelmina, in the Queen Wilhelmina State Park, was a great place to spend an afternoon appreciating nature. Amazing dragonflies, butterflies, flowers, snakes, birds, fungi....
