Teddy's is the last of its kind... featuring fantastic Blues musicians from around the country. The bar has as much of a character as Teddy does! They have the largest chicken wings I've ever eaten, too. If you want to experience a true Blues concert, Teddy's is the place!

I was looking for an out of the way blues joint where I could relax and enjoy the ambiance of a southern juke joint and that is just what I found at Teddy's. Teddy and his wife Nancy made me feel like I was a neighbor that stopped by for a visit. We shared our histories while listening to the blues from CDs and later in the evening from the band Big Al and the Heavy Weights. The chow was everything a northern boy could ask for: a piece of fried catfish, a bowl of red beans and rice, and a smoking hot locally made sausage were served hot and fresh.I had a great evening and plan on stopping by and visiting my new friends the next time I'm up their way.

A little joint well hidden, we went there with some friends. We were the only ones there on a Tuesday night; and had a very memorable experience. Nice out of the way place to visit.

Checked out Dr. Porkchop on Sunday night. The band was awesome. Loved the ambiance of the juke joint. Lots of memorabilia and history on the walls of this place. Just what you expect in a "juke" joint. The band was awesome. The only down side was when the owner got in the DJ booth during the bands break. He was quite vulgar. I'm not a prude by no means but the explicit language he was using was quite embarassing. If you go, you may want to leave during the bands break so you don't have to listen to his trashy talk.

Teddy is a complete character and the club is full of his memoribilia from decades as a blues club impresario. The club is very dark on the inside, but with strings of blinking lights and a huge array of blues guitars displayed. The DJ booth is Teddy's domain, from which he pilots the shows. He belongs there like a truck driver fits perfectly into his cab. While I have zero sophistication on juke joints or the blues, the Sunday show that we attended was very very memorable. We arrived at 6 pm for an 8 pm show and Teddy brought us into the club and showed us nearly every item, with a story behind each one, of blues guitarists, or tours, etc. And the band at 8 pm was just excellent. The fried catfish was pretty good too.
