A great place to learn about the history of the New Jersey State Police from its inception circa 1921. A lot of details, pictures, videos and items to view and see what tradition is about and how dedicated the NJSP members are. Worth the visit. Great for students to take on a field trip.

This little gem is hidden off exit 1 on I95. The displays are interesting and have a lot of historical information. The displays of equipment are sparkling. Particularly enjoyed the wall of patches.

What a neat place to view the NJSP from the very beginning of their existence! We enjoy browsing from display to display and stopping at the gift shop to purchase a gift for ourselves or our little ones A great museum representing a great organization!

I've been here a few times with students. We've had great experiences all the times we've gone. The officers who work at the museum are more than accommodating. Definitely not an all day field trip but an hour or so at the museum is perfect. Great little gift shop too!

A small museum that gives the history of the NJ state police. Is an easy drive and a museum you can get through in an hour or so. Great if your kids are boys.

The highlight of the museum is the Lindbergh case, a must see for anyone interested in this part of NJ history.

Its not a big museum (basically 1 room of displays)- but its free and it has a police car to climb in. That makes it a winner for both mommy and the 6 yr olds! Both boys are obsessed with the armed forces. We spent about 2 hours pouring over the confiscated gun display, the videos, and of course the police car! The police car had working lights and a radio the boys could play with. That made for at least a 1/2 hour worth of fun! There is also a small gift shop (which is open from 11 AM - 1 PM) that has some fun police clothes for kids. Overall, it was worth the trip, although I would not designate it as a major destination.

We drove 1 1/2 hours to visit this museum because my son loves police officers. The museum is one room, none of the interactive items or videos worked except the crime scene investigation video. They do have an interesting display on the Lindbergh Baby Kidnapping, but of course it is very biased (and they have a couple of the 15 ransom notes). In a separate room they have a 1991 police car that the kids can climb into and work the lights. They have a motorcycle and an old police car that is off the line from the '30s (they didn't have lights and sirens back then, apparently!). This visit is only worth it if they are having their open house, which will be May 8, 2010. then they will have their K-9 unit, a helicopter landing, etc. Also, the trooper who is the museum overseer in the info booth said that soon they will be re-vamping the museum.

sem a ajudinha de um gps é complicado encontrar o lugar, mas depois que o achar vale a visitinha. Cheio e historias da policia americana, conta a historia do caso Lindbergh tem tudo la, muito interessante.
