fayette heritage museum library

I went for the first time with my grandchildren ages 6 & 7 . They were offering a summer reading program for the children. It was wonderful! They had the police, fireman & EMS put on a nice class for the kids. Then everyone went outside to see the ambulance, fire truck & police cars. The library also had story time . There is a wide variety of books and DVDs to choose from for all ages. The children enjoyed making projects as well as getting stickers & certificates for the books they read. The staff is very nice and helpful of your needs & have a number of computers you can use. Upstairs is an interesting display of the history of LaGrange & Fayette County. The children enjoyed their visits so much, whenever they come visit Grandma & Grandpa they want to go to the library!

Since we live in the area, we end up here quite often. Instead of subscribing to lots of magazines, we go there and read whatever we like. It's always quiet, comfortable chairs, and also lots of great books to choose from. Upstairs is a genealogical area, which is a gem of the county.There's a fairly decent selection of movies, internet available 24 hours a day, even when outside the building.

Saw where my great grandfather lived. Pretty nice Museum. Lot of interesting things to see. Plenty of information on the history of the quaint little town.
