Have gone here for years and Children as well as adults always enjoy feeding the fish............................

If you have kids under six and you've never been to the Fish Hatchery shame on you. It's a delightful and very inexpensive trip. You can watch the fish swim in their ponds for free or cough up a buck for a bag of food and feed them. Kids love watching the fish chase after the food and splashing all around. Heck, I'm an adult and I still love it.This is a real city treasure, and also boasts a nice nature walking trail for those looking for a bit of exercise with the family. One drawback...feeding the fish WILL make your hands smelly, and it's hard to wash off!

A fun place to take little kids. Buy a bag of fish food and enjoy feeding the trout in the hatching ponds. Located along Cedar Creek, it's a nice outing and a good place to take a walk. A favorite of mine since I was a kid myself!

My Dad took my here as a little girl and now I take my friends kids and I brought my boyfriend here too. Love this place. Feeding the fish is fun. One suggestion can you have food to purchase for when the office is closed? Went on a Sunday and couldn't feed the fish. Thank you!

My kids loved feeding the fish!! It was a good activity for about an hour. We will definitely go back.

Enjoyed the scenery, cheap and enjoyable activity to do with the kids….. Its not far from other local attractions. While you're in the area, try the chinese food at Hunan Springs!

Highly recommended, just off Rt. 78, technically in Allentown but nowhere near downtown. My young kids always find the trout of different sizes and colors fascinating, and feeding them is the icing on the cake. I enjoy it as an adult because it is serene and peaceful, and a nice way to spend an hour or two relaxing. You wont need more than an hour or two however as there is not much else to do or see.

My family have come to this park to feed the fish and take a fun walk for a fun afternoon. We also have attended the Indian festival. My daughter school when She was in elementary school came to the Fish hatchery for field trips too. We find it very peaceful to walk among this beautiful scenery.

Great place to feed the trout and show children different types of trout, nice park setting! Kids can get fish food to feed the trout!

I took my adult daughters and their three children (ages 5, 6 & 6) to visit the Fish Hatchery because I am constantly challenged to find something fun and interesting to do with the little ones that doesn't cost much money. Let me tell you, this is a really cool!!The grounds are just lovely: nice walking (or jogging) paths alongside the fish ponds, a few scattered picnic tables beneath the trees, and lots of informative signs to advise you what you are seeing. There are no steps to contend with, just paths with numerous benches, so it's easy to push a stroller or wheelchair (both of which I saw while there) to enjoy the views. Aside from the educational value of learning about trout farming, there is the sheer joy in the kids' faces when they toss a handful of fish food into the ponds and see the "feeding frenzy" that ensues! Some trout actually jump out of the water to catch the pellets, and my youngest grandson was giggling wildly that he got splashed!! And he kept leaning over so that it would happen again. Also, there are opportunistic ducks that follow you around looking for food, so don't forget to throw a few pellets their way. There are bags of food that can be purchased (bring quarters) but other than that, this is free. Parking is free. How can you beat free? There are also restrooms, if needed. This attraction is open year-round, but it is out in the open so the kids get cold quickly if the weather is chilly as it was when we went. But we braved the chilly November weather and had a quick picnic after seeing the fish. Bundle up and enjoy!

This is a great place to have a quiet date. You can purchase food pellets from a vending machine and feed the fish, no attendant necessary. If I visit the area again on a nice day, I would pack a picnic lunch and spend the afternoon. It is a beautiful and peaceful place to be.

Located in the beautiful Lehigh Parkway - this gem is the source of trout and other fish of all ages - they have a baby fish area and a prize fish area, kids can purchase food from the tiny shop and feed the fish and there is a eco friendly restroom there too. A great launching off point for a walk through the parkway.

My Husband I went to the Trout Fish Hatchery and it was very interesting to see the different sizes of Trout and read all about the different kinds and colors of Trout.

We got into Allentown late in the afternoon and just needed to find a place to kill an hour and get out of the hotel before dinner. You are able to buy a large bag of fish food for a dollar. Feeding the fish with the family was very nice.

It was a nice day and we were looking for a low key activity for 4 adults - we figured, why not? If you are looking for something involved, this is not the place to go. You walk among various tanks with the tiniest of "fingerlings" to fish ready for the table. Youngsters will want to get the special "baby food" to toss to the fingerlings. Unfortunately, the day we were there one tank had several "floaters". There are no guides - just posted info but the price is right - Free. There is plenty of lawn for relaxing or a picnic. Best part of the experience - the momma duck and her 4 little ducklings roaming the grounds. Word to the wise - don't look for a "Fish Hatchery" or you will miss your turn - the sign reads "Trout Nursery"!
