Barrister winery put on an amazing "First Friday" event (first Friday of the new year). My sister and i purchased their signature white wine (very reasonable priced for two Canadians!), dined to a gourmet buffet with the best corn we've ever tasted, and it didn't stop there... the music and ambiance of the beautiful brick building on a snowy evening was exquisite! A memory to last a life time: priceless!

Unique location and interesting building. The wines were good. They display local art that is for sale. They even have room for dancing!

This little winery within an old brick warehouse is hidden in an alley just past downtown Spokane near the railway. It has a lovely, flower-decked patio where you can enjoy wine or book a party. The folks were incredibly friendly, even letting me come in and taste an hour before opening. Nice wines, knowledgable staff, great ambiance. Worth the stop!

Barrister Winery is an urban winery, located in and old brick building near a railway. By, "old" I mean a building steeped in character and history, brick and wood with features from a bygone era. Within this comfortable environment, you will find excellent red wines at agreeable prices. You might want to check their website for the evenings when they feature music. My wife and it had a perfect evening the other day on the patio of Barrister eating a picnic dinner drinking excellent wine and enjoying the musical performance. I highly recommend a visit to Barrister Winery!

I recently had an amazing experience at Barrister Winery. Greg Lipsker gave me a personal tour of the facility and made me feel right at home. I also enjoyed tastings of three Barrister reds--their Cab Franc Rough Justice (blend), and Syrah. All were terrific. The atmosphere is a superb blend of arts, history, and fine wine.

I had an appointment to meet Greg Lipsker late of afternoon and he gave me a private tour of the Winery. Plus we enjoyed tastings right out of the barrel in the basement. Greg was a very informative about the business and how and why they made their wines. The winery sells their wines to a number of local restaurants, also over the tasting counter and through his Wine Club. They also host and stage "Special Events" such as Corporate meeting, Weddings, Bridal Showers and the like. The Barrister Wines are very unusual and they make small quantities of each varietal. If you would like to learn about wines, without being overwhelmed by a lot of snobbish insider wine talk, then Greg is your man.

It had been several years since I had been to this winery. Incredible reds......Cab franc, Sangiovese, and Syrah my favorites. I only wished I lived in Spokane, but definitely will stock up each time I visit. This is the best winery in the area.

This is hands down the best winery I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Their award winning wine is to die for and once you attend one of their "first Fridays" you will be addicted. My Advice -- Join the wine club!!!

On a wine trip to Spokane a few years ago, we discovered Barrister -- and went bonkers over their wines, especially the reds. Now, whenever we are in Spokane, we go in to taste the latest releases, enjoy the ambiance of the tasting room and the friendliness of staff and proprietors, and to load up the SUV with at least a couple of cases. If you love wine and consider wine tasting a fun way to spend an hour or more, do check out Barrister. It's tucked away by the railroad tracks, but offers wines that will bring you back.

Beautiful tasting room with tons of character. Would be great for a party or just an afternoon tasting.

We went to this wine tasting room when we were in Spokane, it's downtown at the Spokane Market, fun night, wine, live music, great people. Had a blast!

Enjoyed an evening of great wine, down-home folks, and a fantastic little concert. Close to the historic Davenport Hotel with great ambiance. Enjoyed the wine and will definitely be back. Thanks for a perfect evening.

Loved their wines, had some shipped to me. They were great with recommendation and went out of their way to answer questions.

Love their wines, but.... We used to go to the spring & winter wine tastings, but when they started charging a per person 'entrance' fee, not a 'tasting' fee, we haven't been back.

A regular host of First Friday in Spokane, an art walk on the first Friday of every Month, it is THE place to be. A very urban, an almost raw space, this place is jamming. Each First Friday local venues select artists to show work from photography to painting to mixed media and everything in between. If you get a chance, try the Rough Justice (yummy wine) or any of their other amazing varietals.
