My son was only 13 months old, when we traveled to Omaha, and the I was afraid of it being to advanced. But there was alot that he could do and play with. We were there for hours... everyone was exhausted.

We went here with our family. The youngest was 1 and the oldest was 65. Everyone had a great time. Grandma loved the ball room! The kids couldn't pick a favorite thing as everything was tons of fun. We spent over 5 hours here and the kids still weren't ready to go. There are many activities happening during the day. We made puppets, boats, and salt art for free. Prices in the food area are good. It is like going to a convenience store with items and price. The carousel and train rides cost $2 per person. They have a nice gift store with acceptable prices. Lockers are available for purses and smaller items, also many hangers for coats.

I have always been impressed with how clean the children's museum was. This is a big thing for me when decided where to take my children. The staff there is so fun and always interacting with the kids! We always loved the special presentations they announce over the loud speaker, like the one on bubbles! The museum did a great job switching out the exhibits on the top floor so there was something new every few months or so. Sometimes we had so much fun on the first floor we never make it upstairs. Some of my kids favorites are the ball room and the grocery store. The Omaha Children's Museum is a great place to go and have interactive play with your children! I did not go on the weekends because the place seems to be super full and kinda crazy but during the week was just fine.

My 4 year old grandson liked our visit to this museum. At the time there were large insects. He knew head, thorax, abdomen, etc. (We had a little song about it.) The exhibits allow children to become involved in big and little ways. Staff are supportive and patient.

My family has experienced many Children's Museums, Omaha's is nice, but I expected more from a location in such a large city. It was much smaller with less exhibits than I have seen in smaller markets and they were charging extra for their "special exhibit" on the second floor. I recommend Omaha, but Kearney and Lincoln are better.

My boys from age 5-14 love this place! No one argues when we get in the car to go here! We bring friends here, and most love it! We have had a mom friend notice the lack of windows, but my kids don't notice it. This museum continues to grow and upgrade. The Halloween room they do is fun. If there is an event, such as Halloween Trick or Treat night, we have learned it is fun to go, but expect MANY children and adults. It is packed. Go early on these nights. They have great handouts. Other nights that have themes are fun too, such as Family Date Night on the first Friday night of the month. It is great. Sometimes it is not too busy on these nights, and they have some good crafts and other activities. Sometimes it is busy on these nights, like on the super hero night. They had adults dress in costume and parade around too. New Years Eve was fine, we did the bubble stomp but it felt a little lackluster. Last year during the Science Weekend they had good presentations. My youngest loves any of the rooms. My middle loves to craft, craft, craft in that area. My oldest loves the ball room and has a blast there. He was not happy when the tornado machine had to go back! Their displays on the 2nd floor have been amazing in the past year. We went many times to enjoy the Dinosaur Exhibit. They ALL enjoyed that immensely. The Farm Exhibit has been a blast too! We are LEGO fanatics are are excited for the LEGO Exhibit to come!!!!!!!!I also love the educational side of the museum. Staff are always wonderful.

Went with my two grandchildren and we all had a great time. Things for kids from 2 to 62. Things to look at work with, play with, learn from.... Well designed and colorful. A busy Sunday, it was crowded, but still many things to see. Mostly interactive exhibits. The crew is excellent in getting the kids going on their projrects and helping the parents get the most of the museum. In the area, buy a membership. Well worth it.

On a cold and somewhat dreary day, close to Christmas, I bundled up the grandkids and headed for Omaha's Children's Museum. This is my first winter in a cold weather state in over 30 years and my Atlanta body has not calibrated to the Artic cold of Omaha. Needless to say I try not to go out much when temps dip below 35. So suffice it to say I was experiencing a little cabin fever and my almost five year old grandson was on cabin fever overload! Omaha's Children's Museum was the perfect escape from our 'cabin'. Filled with a variety of hands on experiences ranging from mazes, to a simulated grocery store and bank, my grandson was simply joy-filled and happy! Adequately sized, the museum is fairly easy to navigate and if by chance you get lost or turned around, there were plenty of staff to provide assistance. There is something for everyone, however I would venture to say the ideal age group is between 4-11. There is an area geared towards under 2 and my 10 month old granddaughter enjoyed the play area. We didn't stay in the area very long because my germophobic tendencies started to kick in. <smile>All in all, I would highly recommend Omaha Children's Museum to locals and visitor's. It's a awesome amusement for kids!

This is a great museum. So many things to interact with the kids could have stayed all day easily. Food is a little pricey but that is normal for these types of places. They have made things very safe, approacable and have thought of all the details. If you have a family of 4 or 5 it makes sense to buy a membership if you plan to go there a few times during the year. Membership gives you a discount at the gift shop also.

Kids will have fun though. The main attraction is the ball machines that lift, carry, and ultimately spill the balls using a mechanical holding device on top of the kids. Neat but nothing super awesome.

The young children in your family will love the Omaha Children's museum. Parking is sometimes an issue, but the exhibits are fun and exciting for the kids. The carousel costs extra, but is placed in the building where kids will want to ride. Bring cash...

There is a fee, but membership makes it possible to go frequently. Our grand kids love the many interactive displays, and there's always something new to see and learn. . . .

Wonderful hands on areas for kids to explore and learn. A grocery story, and a fully functional bank with drive up. Several art centers and a beautiful merry go round. The steps leading to the second floor (they also have elevator) are programmed to make sounds as you step on each tread. Reminded me of the movie "Big". One entire area is full of pneumatic tubes that carry balls up and around. Lots of creativity. As a parent concerned about germs....they have copious amounts of hand sanitizer throughout the center. Love the place!

Visited the Once Upon A Farm exhibit. So fun! Really liked the educational aspects of the exhibit. Kids can learn about dairy, drive a pedal tractor, and climb up in a HUGE tractor. Great place to have fun and learn about Nebraska farming. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

The Omaha children's museum is a total hands on experience for children. They can paint, perform , shop, and the exhibits are ever changing. A fun learning experience that puts big smiles on childrens face. A MUST see.
