We used a Groupon for the tour and a bottle of vodka. It was wonderful! Started off in the tasting room with a dirty martini ($8) and my husband had a bloody Mary ($7). The drinks were both well made and priced right. We were given a 1 oz. sample of vodka and 1 oz. sample of moonshine while we were told the history of the company and a brief overview of the products. We then went on a short but informative and entertaining tour of the distillery (the back room of the building). Overall, the experience was wonderful and well worth the trip. The employees were incredibly likeable and friendly. I will be buying Mastermind Vodka from now on in order to help the company "make it big" and plan to bring others on the tour.

We were looking for something different to do when we learned there was a vodka distillery in the St. Louis area. It's in a small, nondescript building (as of Sept., 2014 - they are moving to a new location on the Missouri side of the river soon) a few miles away from the interstate. The small staff was very friendly and did a great job explaining how they came to be. The vodka was excellent in the mixed drinks and tasted great straight. We bought a bottle of the vodka and the moonshine to take home. Take a group of friends (and let one be the designated driver) and you will have a great time.

So much fun and sample sips and fancy mixed drinks ate fabulous. We were a boisterous group of 15 and they put up with our party attitudes. Very personal films. Great tasting vodka. Moonshine was fire but still smooth. Believe they will across the river to Frontenac (spelling?). I'll take a group of folk again regardless where they are.

I had seen a Groupon for Mastermind Vodka Tour. Thought about buying one but the clincher was we have Timmermann House Bed and Breakfast and some recent guests had said they had gone and taken the tour and had joyed it very much. Purchased on a few weeks later and just took our tour yesterday. Travis welcomed us even though we were early. We chatted and he told us the Mastermind history. Took our tour and then enjoyed a couple of drinks Extra Spicy Bloody Mary and Cranberry juice & their wonderful vodka! Everyone was very friendly and when we were about to leave Carl arrived and greeted us like old friends. We purchased some extra bottles and we will be sending guests their way for a great adventure. Not only are they entrepreneurs but they have a great product and "YES" They are American made!!

We purchased a Groupon for tour tour of Mastermind and I am glad we did. If you are staying in or near St. Louis and have a couple of hours to kill, a short trip across the new Stan Musial Memorial Bridge to visit Mastermind is well worth the time. We did the tour with 3 other couples and had a great time. The facility is small but functional and has a nice sitting room with a flat screen TV where you can wait for the next tour or stay after your tour and have more cocktails. The tour includes samples of the Mastermind Vodka, and LPR Moonshine (Take a guess what LPR stands for). If you can’t figure it out, don’t, worry Travis will tell you during the tour. The tour includes a bottle of Vodka and some enlightenment on how it and other spirits are made.

I love watching entrepreneurs take risk and succeed through hard work and long hours. We stopped over at the distillery on Saturday November 2nd with another couple for a tour and tasting. We had purchased a tour package off of Groupon. The tour and tasting was enjoyable. We were impressed with their knowledge of the business. I'm not sure how much longer they can stay in their current facility as they are growing quickly. Their product is getting noticed. The premium Mastermind Vodka is smooth so expect to pay more for a premium product. We will be back to support this 100% American made product. Thanks Travis and Carl for a fun Saturday afternoon. Bring your camera and schedule your tour ahead of time.

it was very interesting and the tastings were wonderful. it wasn't too hard to find and we bought a case of the Vodka, it was that good. the gentleman who gave us the tour was very knowledgable and interesting. if you like Vodka, check out for coupons on the net for half off the tour and you also get a $15.00 free. well worth the price and the trip.

We like vodka in our house and this was informative, tasty and fun all wrapped up! Travis and Brandy made the experience interesting and entertaining. It is currently a very small (just a couple of rooms) tour, but they have grown so quickly that they are in the process of moving to a larger facility. Three other couples were on the tour with us and everyone seemed to have a good time. They started things off with cocktails (they are not included in the fee, but $5 for a top shelf vodka cocktail is a pretty good deal) and a couple of tastes, vodka and moonshine (100 proof moonshine will knock your socks off!) before they show you the back room. They no longer have room to distill the vodka here, but they do all the bottling here. Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Good little tour, with knowledgable staff. Their vodka is good, but they are still a one pony show just getting started. I think they have great potential and will continue to grow. It's worth the drive to check them out and see what a good vodka is all about.

Great inspiration for entrepreneurs everywhere. Small tour but great to hear how it's all done. The vodka is really good and if you haven't tasted the new craze, moonshine, you must. It's not the turpentine of yesterday.
