We stayed in Blue Ridge and since we love hiking we decided to visit Falls Branch Falls. Easy hike with great views!

We stayed at the Bear Rock Ridge in Blue Ridge Mountains and this was one of the places the Owner recommended to us. We had so much fun walking this trails. So much fun and I suggest maybe a walking stick or pick one up off trail. I saw so many butterflies when we went. So gorgeous. (Take a small lunch to sit and enjoy once you get to the top)

This is close to our vacation home and a great place to take friends. The scenery all over the Blue Ridge mountains is beautiful and this falls is just icing on the cake. Highly recommended.

The drive to Fall Branch Falls was beautiful. The hike up to the Falls was a little steep but not very long. Quite, peaceful, serene, secluded.

The directions to the place takes you to the wrong address. My husband and I found out the hard way. We went to where the directions told us to go. (No signs saying how close or far you are from the Fall) We got out and started hiking up a STEEP MOUNTAIN we went about a mile and come to find out it was not the right place we need to drive farther down. We got back to the car and starting driving a little farther up and there was a gravel road, so we kept going, We found a car sitting on the side of rode and just so happen to look over to the right and a little tiny sign in the beginning of the trail said Fall Branch Falls. The trail is NOT for older, pregnant or overweight ppl very steep and rocks everywhere. We reached the fall and it wasn't nothing too look at just a little bit of water and super small. I was very disappointed...

The hike was a little bit more strenuous than we were lead to believe almost all uphill with very rocky uneven terrain. I wanted a hike that would be ok for someone with a bad knee this wasn't exactly it. We made it eventually and the falls were great. They were listed on a Water Adventure printout that was in our rental cabin. Took us a while to get there but it was worth it once we did:)

This is a quick and easy hike to navigate. There is an observation deck to view the falls from below. We were hit with a downpour half way up, but continued on and got a glimpse of the double waterfall in the pouring down rain. It's worth the hike if you are a nature lover.

The hike was almost all uphill and very difficult for older people. The "falls" was simply a large rock with some water trickling down. There was a very small dock to sit on. It was nice, but I don't need to see it again.

As we arrived we were greeted by a large black and yellow butterfly that flew into the entrance of the trail. The trail is short but rocky and steep and also narrows often. There wasn't many people and the people that were there, we're very quiet so u could still enjoy the sound of the falls and nature. From the trail u can see two cabins and an old outhouse ( I have never seen a real one, pretty cool)! Keep going up and there is an observation deck that brings u very close to the falls and u can feel the cool breeze as u stand there taking photos! U can take the trail all the way up to the top of the falls but the view is mostly blocked by trees so unless u want to take a chance and climb down rocks and squeeze thru trees (it's like an obstacle course) I suggest u stick with the observation deck view ;)

It was a very short, steep, hike up to the waterfall. Perfect if you want something quick and relaxing. My kids loved it. Thankfully they had their bathing suits on and we're able to splash around in the water. My son (10 years old) could have stayed all day!

We enjoyed the visit. The walk up to the falls is pretty steep and a bit tiring for those who are from somewhere with zero hills. It was worth the climb though. Falls are pretty and offer many photo opps.

This is one of the easier waterfalls to access in the Blue Ridge area...about 10 miles down Aska Road; turn across from Toccoa River Restaurant then drive down a beautiful windy 2-lane for about 3 miles. Once you arrive where the pavement ends, there is a further hike to the falls which was beautiful but rocky and strenuous if you aren't in good shape (me!). Most will find the hike easy. When we went there wasn't a soul around...and the hike was definitely worth it. There is an observation deck and you can continue on to the top of the falls as well. The Benton McKaye trail is also accessible from here. So peaceful! Be sure to have your camera charged because you'll want lots of pics. Be aware there is zero to spotty cell phone service. Highly, highly recommended.

Very nice hike to the falls. Went there twice to shoot video and never saw anyone else on the trail. Very picturesque. Here is a video that I shot. http://vimeo.com/95203205

This waterfall is not too far (under 10 miles) from downtown Blue Ridge. It's not as grand as Amicalola but very nice and unspoiled. In February we only encountered a few other hikers going and coming. The hike (to and beyond the waterfall) was easy for an 8 year old, a short hike too.

We took a small group, including a dog and my 88 year old mom on this hike today. The slightly rocky uphill trail was somewhat challenging for my mom, but she made it! I do recommend a walking stick for elderly hikers. The falls are nice, with an observation deck. The trai is lined with mountain laurel, so even in winter it was very pretty. We capped off the hike with lunch at the nearby Toccoa Riverhouse Restaurant. The food, atmosphere and service were fabulous. Their specialty is local trout, do not miss out on it. Two of us at the table of five had the broiled trout and everybody else wished they had ordered it.This will be a standing day trip for guests in the future - a pretty drive along the river followed by a hike and then lunch.
