FarOutInn

Almost everyone that visits Far Out Inn, love this as a quiet alternative to the busy La Concha in the summer time. A small, but wide beach you can find cover from the sun underneath the rocks. Walk down and enjoy a family day at the beach.

Nice wide beach with lots of clean lovely sand. The water is beautiful and clean also. The only down side is if you walk to the end of beach heading to La Concha you cannot exit here - you have to walk back due to the high walls alongside. Very pretty and nice family beach.

I have sunbathed, relaxed, and swum in the warm waters of Ondarreta Beach on countless occasions. It is clean, the people are friendly, and it remains one of my favorite beaches in the world.

More family oriented than La Concha and Zurriola, it's a wonderful beach to relax with perfect sand and plenty of activities near by.

Even on high tide this beach has guaranteed sand and ideal for swimming out to the island. Clean and good toilet/ shower facilities near by and little bars.

My wife and I liked this beach. It was crowded but the sand was drier than Concha and it was easy to get to the water. It is in the city but seems more secluded than Concha. There were a lot of families there on the weekend. It is nice not to deal with loud motorized water sports or people hawking wares on the beach. It was quiet and relaxing despite being crowded. Everyone was respectful of each other.

A well serviced beach a 20 minute walk away from the center. Nicer and less crowded than La Concha. Accesible even at high tide

This beach is a twenty minute walk from the main area but has a larger sandy area especially when the tide is in. Calm water and lifeguards make it safe for families and there is a pool on the beach where you can learn to swim.

Lovely beach and well worth a visit. Still hard to get my head around the fact the beach is in the city. Clean sand and very clear water. Unfortunately we drove over an hour to go to these beaches in San Sebastian after reading from other reviewers that dogs were allowed on the beaches. They aren't! Not on any. And unlike some other beaches in southern France where this rule is often broken and people turn a blind eye, we didn't see a single dog on any of the 3 beaches and we weren't going to risk it as the local Police were sniffing around (along with the traffic wardens who were arranging for cars to be towed!). I have read about dogs running free on La Concha beach and was really looking forward to finally being able to let our pooch off a lead as she loves the sand. However, the signs on every beach clearly show 'no dogs'. Not sure about other people's experiences. Maybe we were just unlucky but we were not going to risk it and get fined by the scary Policia!

Adjoining La concha beach and a delightful walk from the centre of San Sebastian this beach is mostly tourist free, but it is an easy walk from the town centre and has vast expanses of golden sand and views to die for. Just go there !

I was sceptical at first about a beach in the centre of town but this was a surprise. It was clean, perfectly civilised with families, young and old. The water was crystal clear and warm. The usual stuff could be rented and refreshments were available as was fresh water for cleaning off sand and, more unusually, for drinking.

You're very close to seeing the sculptures of the Wind Comb from this beach when you're in San Sebastian. There is also a statue of Queen Isabella II in front of the promenade of this beach. The beach is clean; the promenade is clean; you can take your dog(s) on the beach; you can play soccer or volleyball and soak up the Spanish sun. Many women go topless and that includes all ages and all shapes. Perhaps more family-oriented than La Concha beach. You are also closest to the funicular at this beach.

I love this beach for it's cornice, cafes and for a walk. But too many people in summer so I was a bit concern about the water cleanliness. Plus there are other amazing beaches along the north of Spain. But still this beach is one of my favorite places in San Sebastian.

If Amsterdam had such a beach in the city center it would be the best city in the world, but it doesn't. San Sebastian does have it! happy bask day!

Beautiful view, but not much wave action and the water could be cleaner. Also, the better restaurants are down the way in the old section or off La Concha.
