A wonderful beach to walk and take in the wonderful views of coastline. Ideal for rock pool hunting and dogs too.

Brilliant the whole year round in the Winter you have it all to your self. A great view. The walk from Yellowcraigs to North Berwick is brilliant just one never ending beach. A joy Summer Spring Autumn and Winter....... Yep I like it

This beach is kept very clean and is fairly popular all year round but more so during the summer months. There is regular attendance of ice cream vans etc to cater for your munchies.

Although the sun does not set over the horizon - out towards the sea, it does set over the city when you are on this beach, which causes the whole scene to turn purple and wonderful! The wet sand catches the light in streams and ripples that were amazing, and over by the seabird centre is this small pool of water....If you are here at sunset, get your friend to walk over the other side of this pool on the concrete walls, then stoop down and take a photo of them - the skye and the pool merge into one endless seam of light, so your friend looks like they are walking on water! Amazing!

Good parking and loos, signed dogwalking path, bins provided. Everything to make for a good dog walk including other friendly dogs and owners!

This is a fantastic beach, easy parking has a park for the kids near to the car park, nice toilets with an outside tap and water bowls for dog visitors too. It is set in a lovely bay over looking to Fife, can get very busy on hot/warm days especially in high holiday season. As there is also a caravan park just before carpark. But if you are passing it is well worth a visit even on cold days to just walk the dogs and enjoy the great views.

Yellowcraig beach is worth a visit, it is not singposted as a beach just yellowcraig, you find it from the road through Dirleton at the east end of the village, it is down the same road as you would go down for the caravan site. There is a large parking area to leave the car in with toilets at the beach side of the car park, the beach is 5 minute walk from the car park. The beach is large with Fidra island just of the beach.

Brilliant wee beach, quite long, has a tide so can explore the wee rock pools when tide is out. Tide moves quickly so don't get yourself caught out! Was a windy day when we were there but was warm enough to be pleasant. The sea wasn't too chilly either. Most importantly, it was CLEAN! A lot of beaches are filthy with rubbish and cigarette butts and ash but couldn't see anything but lovely sand :) brushes off easily too

Yellowcraig beech is easily accessible with ample parking near by. Area is dog friendly and has a park for children to play in. There are several little bays were paddling and or swimming is easily accessed and suitable for children of all ages. Wide beach area allows dog walkers plenty of space to let their dogs run around without disturbing the bathers. Sand is nice and clean and easy to walk on with bare feet. Beautiful on a sunny day and a wet autumn day alike. An all year round treasure!!

This is a beautiful beach and very sheltered. Lovely clear rock pools for children to explore. Great find and perfect for swimming. Lovely walks to a from the beach. Toilet facilities clean and safe. The reason this didn't get a 5 star is the dog situation. It won't stay a beautiful beach for much longer. People need to learn that not everyone likes their dog or wants to have them in their space. Dogs should be banned or at least be forced to be on a lead. At least 16 in the small beach space we were and all off leads running riot. Poop not being picked up. As one review describes it "a dog walkers paradise" shame for the humans who want to use the beach and children who want to swim or eat in peace. When we left about 2pm more dogs were arriving with people.

Lots of sand, you can get a good hour's walk in and get classic views of Lamb, Fidra and Craigleith islands, the Fife coast, North Berwick Law, Bass Rock, the Firth of Forth. Busy on sunny days in the school holidays. The council have recently built excellent toilet and shower block facility which is free to use and there is a very good play park and plentiful parking.

Convenient parking and a caravan park and childrens play area within a few minutes walk of the beach. Also possible to walk along beach towards North Berwick. A dog walkers paradise.
