We've been to the tower climbing in late february, the cold is no reason not to do it! (You also get a warm donut and coffee after..) DO IT!!!To the scenic: Probably it will be amazing in summer when you're on the tower and relax, everything is green etc. But you really see the tampere thing, the two lakes and what is al about :-) my best thing in tampere.

See the perfect view upstairs and eat nice pullas downstairs. Only minus is you need to walk for a while to get there and it is not bad at all when you are surrounded by the trees.

I liked it that it's only € 2,- to get up.You see a lot of the sourroundings. There is also a small coffee place to grad some drinks.

Easy to find, though parking lot is quite small. Lots of people so we didn't fit in, we ate our doughnuts outside. Friendly staff and so fresh coffee and doughnuts. Good prises too. The view is awesome, definitely go there again.

must cafeteria in lovely environment. Pyynikki is very nice place to hiking and after you have visited Pispala it´s time to have some cup of coffee and fresh buns.

Best and famous doughnuts in Tampere. There are allways people, mostly locals. And they are open every single day! The entrance fee to The Tower is 2 euros...

Just wonderful old granite tower where you can see over the town of Tampere and over the two big lakes on the both sides of the town. The tower is locating in the highest point of Pyynikki ridge and in the midle of Pyynikki National Park. There is a also a famous cafe in the tower building. The distance from the city centre is only two kilometers.

The best place to view over Tampere. The observation level is as high as Näsinneula's and the surrounding park is fantastic compared to the amusement park around Näsinneula. The cafe downstairs is famous of it's buns (munkki) well woth of experimenting. Well, near Näsinneula you find Sara Hilden art museum if you are not nature affectinado.

This is a must in Tampere. If you wish very nice natural environment, great view or best-in-town doughnut this place is for you. Remember to visit the tower also.

Go to Pyynikki tower to enjoy the beautiful views of the city of Tampere and surroundings (you'll be able to see Nasijarvi lake to the north, and Pyhajarvi lake to the south). Also, there's a small café where you can eat the best munkkis (similar to a doughnut) of Finland. Plus, if you eat something at the café/restaurant, you'll get a free entrance to the tower (otherwise you'll have to pay a small fee).

This is an absolutely beautiful part of Tampere. The Tower is a great way to get a fantastic panoramic view of the city and surrounding area. Making it even better is the coffee shop on the ground floor. The doughnuts they serve are fantastic, and the coffee is better than most of the other places in town. The park in which the tower is located is also beautiful. I highly recommend visiting and strolling through the area making sure to have a doughnut.

In the middle of the nature and wooden houses, walking through a labyrinth of green you reach the tower. This is the traditional place where you have a donut (munkki) and coffee/tea. Everything looks nice inside and outside. From the tower you get to see of course Tampere. It worth the walk/drive uphill.

Small bakery-cafeteria in a historical observation tower. Cozy interior, excellent doughnut and friendly service - definitely worth of visiting. Located at the top of Pyynikinharju which is said to be the highest gravel hill left by the last ice age and it is 85 meters from lake Pyhäjärvi. There is fee for entering the observation tower.

Pyynikki ( Pronounced Puu-Nik-E) Tower is a small glimpse into the hardships endured during some of Finnish history. There is a wonderful bakery that has the best donuts (spiced with cardamom) and coffee. Its a nice walk down the hill to the lake if you are into hiking or a leisurely walk.

Have walked in the park with my family (two children, 8 and 2), very refreshing, though it was - 11, but we enjoyed park and view from observation tower. Also ate munki in the cafe of the tower, children enjoyed it. Must see place while visiting Tampere.
