Amazingly friendly Dutch lady took us through the superb white wines and enticed us into purchasing a case and a couple of glasses in the sunshine.

Cochem is a beautiful little town on the Mosel in Germany. Its a tourist town of note and that is why I had the shock experience of my life when the owner rudely dismissed me when I took a photo entering his shop to 'maybe' buy some wine. And trust me, I'm nit talking German 'directness', I'm talking rude to the point of telling us to shutup and 'go away'. Thus, though the establishment is stunning and interesting, the behaviour was apalling.

We tasted some wines here, and bought some bottles too. Nice location, wines are ok too. They have a lot of different wines, for every budget. Good hospitality, despite the very touristic area it's located in. The sekt 2011 is nice and not expensive.

We sat outside in the sun, tasting several bottles of wine from this vineyard, and tsted some liquors as well. the wine was so light and very tasty:-) Great service, great village, and can then go on to other places or just stay there!

Sat tasting the wines from this cellar during the afternoon... absolutely lovely and great hospitality.

Genoten van een zeer goed georganiserde wijnproeverij. 9 soorten wijn geproefd met een zeer deskundig wijnadvies.

Ein toller und uriger Weinkeller, wo Weinproben Spass machen. Der Verkäufer war hilfsbereit und öffnete auf Wunsch fast jeden Wein, den man probieren wollte.

Heerlijk om enkele fantastische wijnen te proeven en daarbij een heldere uitleg te krijgen. We hebben hier verschillende ijswijnen uitgeprobeerd en daarnaast ook nog enkele andere droge rieslings en rosés.Als je wijn koopt, worden (althans in ons geval) geen kosten voor de proeverij gerekend. Anders zijn er kosten aan verbonden (ik meen me te herinneren dat het 1,80 was voor de ijswijnproeverij).het is in een wijnkelder, dus wellicht minder toegankelijk voor rolstoelen. Wij waren met een kinderwagen en dat was wel te doen.
