burg hülshof

Since we saw the room at the Meersburg where Annette von Droste died, we were interested in the Burg where she was born and had lived. I was particularly interested since one of the original owners of the Burg was a Diefenbrock. Here in Sacramento there is a prominent family by the name of Diepenbrock. The tour of the Burg was excellent, quite informative. The place itself is in good repair and gives an excellent example of what it must have been like to have lived in such luxury in the 18th Century. There is a beautiful walk through the excellently maintained grounds surrounding the Burg.

De eerste Kerstmarkt voor mij in 2014. Zeker 100 kramen rondom het prachtige Burg Hulshof. Heel mooi ingericht en sfeervol. In de oude koetshuizen een restaurant ingericht met een lekker soepje of een braadworst met brood , heerlijk muziekje, een duo, zang met piano en contrabas, hoe kan het ook anders, kom je vanzelf in de sfeer. Ze serveren er een heerlijk wijntje bij. Deze ambiance nodigt uit...is echt voor herhaling vatbaar, ik ga er zeker nog een keer naartoe. Tijdens deze kerstmarkt ben ik niet in het restaurant onder in de Burg geweest. Ik heb het museum ook niet bekeken. Dus ik moet wel terug dat lijkt me duidelijk.
