我非常喜欢Vitosha Mountain,前些日子去山中游玩,山青、树绿,遍地野花,当真是进入了世外桃源。还挖到了很多韭菜、蒲公英,这些野菜都很好吃,山泉水也特别的好喝,超赞

You can see the mountain from almost every corner in the Capital city but there is nothing to be compared with the on-site visit itself. We left after noon to the highest peak but the weather was pushing us away. We did not give up and reached the top around 16:20. The wind was blowing, the storm was getting worse and the visibility was decreasing.

I live right below Vitosha Park in Boyana. I don't ski, so I don't know about that part of Vitosha. However, all through the other seasons, especially spring and fall I hike the mountain for 2-3 hours 3-4 times a week. The trails could have a little better maintenance, so strollers are out but I have never seen them completely unusable. Every time my wife and I hike we see something new. The views of city are amazing. The fresh air is invigorating and the calm and quiet compared to Sofia is extremely relaxing. The trails aren't thoroughly marked, but we have never gotten lost or even gone much out of our way. I highly recommend a hike around Vitosha park for anyone that enjoys the outdoors. It is a beautiful place.

Vitosha Mountain has never been in such poor condition as it is now. It is difficult for walking, the trails are in dreadful condition. People have to walk through forests that are dead and nobody takes care of their condition. The lifts are extremely old. The skiing conditions are good only for beginners at the age of 4 up to 8 years old. The access to the mountain is rather complicated. If public transportation is used, it takes hours to get up there. If someone walks on the mountain on a week day, there is only one lift that takes you up. Once you are there you can either use the same lift to come down or if you walk to the other side of the mountain, there will be public transportation on the weekend and not before that. Vitosha Mountains is an abandoned jewel by the Bulgarian capital Sofia.

We visited Vitosha mountain last week and the experience was amazing ! the journey started at the base of the mountain where the car lift at (Lift simeonovo) price is 10 Liva per person (return trip) - the trip is about 30 to 40 min to the top and has 2 stops on the way,at the top there is a shop to rent the Ski equipment ( shoes - ski sticks at 12 Liva per person half day ) they are open till 4:30 PM during winter time. there is a bar, restaurants also a very attractive ski road ! everything looks amazing from the top, the ski roads are well maintained and very enjoyable! even if it’s your first time skiing, you can book your trainer on spot, or try your luck like me (and it worked well !) .... I will do it again for sure next time I visit Sofia ! in fact this is the best thing and a must do thing in Sofia! BIG FUN !

Nice place to spend the ski holidays, ski pass is for a good price, slope really nice as well and the ski renting stuff are helpful :)

If you're staying in Sofia for a couple of days in winterseason, you should definately visit the Vitosha Mountain! It is a 20min drive and you won't pay more than 12 LEF (6 euros) for a one-way taxidrive. Renting equipment and a skipass is cheap as well! It takes about 30min with the gondola to go up, but once you're there you can easily hop on and off the other lifts. When we were there, only one piste was open, but the area normally is a bit larger. Because of the clouds (with fresh snow!) we couldn't see the view over Sofia, so I cannot say if that will be spectacular to see in summer for example. The food you could get at the restaurant however looked disgusting, so we didn't order that. You should bring your own lunch!

Very good winter place. There are many very good pistes and the value for money is very low. I would recommended this mountain

You must go to Simeonovo area and take the cabin lift.It bring you around 1934 meters in the snow, in the natural park. It's cheap around 4 euros go and back with the cabin lift.Don't forget after to make shopping in Sofiaring, one of the best Shopping center in Sofia

It's very rare for a capital city to have access to a mountain with restaurants, fresh air and fun activities to enjoy! I enjoyed lots of things in Sofia but the ski lift ride up to the first stop was breathtaking and definitely the highlight of my trip! Plus at that first stop there's a tiny place to have fresh soup and other treats cooked by a friendly couple. That place was so cozy and definitely better than the famous traditional restaurants of the mountain. Then the ride down was amazing, the view was something else! Don't miss it!!

Vitosha Mountain is known for its closeness to the capital. Only 30 minutes away it is a lovely escape from the busy city. Scenery is amazing. Fresh air. Check out the "moreni"! Grab a tea at Aleko!

it took us around 45 minutes in the cable car to get to the top.On top it is extremely breath taking. Great snow and skiing and the view of the city down below with the sun out bright, while it is snowing over you on top is bewildering.Worth every minute and every penny.
