We visited RE and found the concept to be quite interesting - the 'grand master' of wines in the Casablanca Valley REinventing the industry. The approach has led to some very good wines that build on the strengths of the varietals that are cultured. The most informative tour was in flawless English (our Spanish is non-existent). As with most vineyards, the setting is spectacular. RE has developed the courtyard area in the style of many years ago and would be most comfortable for large groups to linger over wines and appies.

Ended up here almost randomly, by reccomendation, and so glad it happened.Very good wines, really interesting blends and history behind this beautiful botique winery. The staff is super friendly and welcoming.I definitely recommend a visit!

We had the most fascinating tour led by guide Felipe whose English was excellent, his explanations clear, concise, but full of information and the whole concept of this REvolutionary bodegas was just wonderful to behold. From a trip into the vineyards themselves through to the wonderful underground cellars and wine tasting everything was exlempary. Just a wonderful hour ! As to the wines - well that is personal taste and I found them tantalising and flavourful and challenging all in one mouthful.A definite Must do !

My boyfriend and I were advised to visit Bodega RE by another nearby winery and we arrived just in time for the tour. The concept of Bodega RE was very interesting and I loved their idea of returning to some traditional methods of making wine. They also mix some unusual grape blends, like the Chardon-noir, however neither of us loved the taste of the wines offered in the tasting enough to purchase any. Certainly be prepared for something different! I certainly think it's worth checking out if you're in the area as a contrast to the traditional wineries.

Bodegas RE is a very unique facility: it includes production of fruit liquores to maceration of wines in large pot vases with a music playing in the background. Our tour guide had an excellent english and gave us a good perspective on the philosophy of the owners. However, once the wine tasting part of the tour arrived, we were underwhelmed by the wines - most of them were priced $20-$30 but were very unimpressive. Recommended tour but not wine tasting.

This was one of three wineries we visited on a three winery tour. While I would not consider it the best we visited it was very interesting with some unique wines. The tasting was well done with a lot of information so well worth the visit.

Of all the vineyards we visited, the wines here were my favourite. They had interesting blends that were really unique. The offered a lovely tour, and tasting.

Bodegas Re was the first stop on a 3 winery tour of Casablanca, what a great location, great tour and some amazingly different wines. All of the wines we tasted were not what you would expect, like a rose of Pino and Muscato blend. I wish I had more room in my suitcase to take home more wine. A great place to visit.

A winery specialising in 'hybrid' blends advertised as such (chardonnoir etc.). The white grapes seem to be on-site, but the red grapes come from the Maule valley (between Santiago and Concepción) - there are more 'cool climate' style red vines coming online just up the road at Loma Larga, so perhaps this strange aspect will be corrected in time. That said, the blends are pretty decent (in fact, I'd say they're better than Maule reds). This is one case in which you can observe that the wines are completely without terroir without sounding pretentious. They are refreshing, fun styles. The sweet vinegar is especially nice. It's a very slick and commercial cellar door, doubling as a museum-shop style shop for generically Chilean textiles and such, but pleasant enough. The traditional terracotta vats in the cellar below the wine room are fascinating. It's easily walkable from Casablanca (there is an overpass over the highway, and it's 800 metres further up the road); my recommendation, if it's not too hot, is to bypass RE first to Loma Larga (at the forefront of red styles in the valley) another two km up the road and visit RE on the way back.

enjoyed a 5 wine tasting at bodegas RE with our guide Raul who provided informative tid bits regarding how this winery came to exist and the unusual blendings of wines such as savingon blanc and pinot noir and Syrah and pinot noir. A very short tour of the clay tanks was a nice change from being dragged to see yet another concrete or stainless steel tank. Winery had a very hipster feel .

My friend and I were only in Santiago for a few days so we had to use our time wisely. Last day before we flew out we had a driver take us to Vaplo on the way back stopped at Re. It was a beautiful way to end our trip, small innovated vineyard with wonderful blends. It was a very personal tour of the vineyard not too long at all best of all was tasting their combinations of common wines that had unexpected beautiful flavors. Would highly recommend this vineyard if you are in the Casablanca valley.

I have done many winery tours in California and Australia, and Bodegas RE is one of the best I have ever gone on. The tour is laid back but very informative. It was so interesting to see the process of not only the winemaking, but also their liquors. The wines we tasted were all so unique and wonderful. It was unlike any other winery I have ever come across. It's definitely worth a visit!

We were very well received, we learned a lot ( even though we already visited like 5 process in this trip), and the wines are very good, creative and intelligent. With great scores at descorchados.
