Visited in daytime and felt very safe. Patio Bellavista seems mainly set up for tourists; has some very nice artisan offerings with prices slightly higher than other neighbourhood markets. Many restaurants on the patio to choose from but expect to pay tourist prices. In the surrounding neighbourhood many bars and non-touristy spots that would be popular in the evening. Close by, the Pablo Neruda house (La Chascona) was a real treat.

After visiting Cerro San Cristobal, we wandered around Patio Bellavista after the long, hot walk down the hill, checking out the various posted menus. This area featured a handful of shops and some interesting restaurants - with fantastic Happy Hour offers!

Accidently, we found the place, caught by intersting design and we walked in the Patio. We totally loved it. You can find a lot of cousine you can choose. You can drink wine/cafe solo or accompany it with fine food.We spend there pretty much time chatting, eating and enjoing this relaxed atmosphere.Once in Santiago, we will be returning there again and again!

If you eat at the restaurant on the Patio, have the local favorite, Domino Resturaunt, Charisco Italiano. It is a large beef sandwich with Mayo, Avocado and Tomato (the red, white and green) the Italian flag colors.

This place is obviously designed to attract tourists who are a little bit afraid of trying out the less conventional bars and restaurants on Pio Nonno. I only went there to buy souvenirs, which there are a lot you can chose from at decent prices. The restaurants looked too pricey to me...

Barrio Bellavista is not to be missed on a visit to Santiago. It is very charming and well maintained. The "Patio" offers many restaurant, bar and entertainment choices in one elegant location.

Nice food, nice ambiance but it is a tourist trap. The restaurant are over price. However the nearby artisanal is a great place to buy souvenirs.

Great choices for drinks, dinner or just a gelato stop and great people wstching. A really fun place to dine no matter your age. We loved the cheers from the resto playing a soccer/ football game

I like this space, it has great ambiance and great restaurants. As a single woman, however, I wouldn't exactly recommend it at night: although the area itself is secure, the sector has become very rough. If you go there in the evening, go by car or taxi, don't take the subway!

On occasions there is nothing wrong with touristy when you are a tourist -and this is one of them. A square full of restaurants to cover any taste plus high-end shops selling arts & crafts. A good place to stop & eat either before or after your trip up Cerro San Cristobel. We had a lovely outdoor lunch here before the walk to the Funicular.

This is a quiet and nice place to escape the polution and noise of the city. It is quite touristy, but still fairly priced and not tacky. We even came back to the peruvian restaurant twice (it is next to the ice cream shop) because the food was so good.

Interesting shopping options, a bit overpriced but usually more artisanal.Food options are great.Has a parking lot but the place is open, so bad for rainy days

In the trendy Bellavista neighbourhood which transforms between night and day. Patio is well worth a visit and even a quick pit stop for a cool down. Choo-full of trendy bars and restaurants. I even stumbled into the Starbucks thinking it was really cool. Did leave though once I saw a logo as I wasn't there for that.

Some people like to call the Patio Bellavista a tourist trap but the reality is that both local and tourists flood this place. Full of restaurants, bars and the occasional shop or two. There is a huge variety of food although we really enjoyed the Cebicheria Constitucion which stuck out as a different option with excellent food. Barrica 94 looked nice, as well. Options for gelato, crepes and coffee, too - even a chair or two (skip'em if you can). Recommended for a night out. As anyone will tell you, Constitucion is much calmer than Pio Nono which has more of "6th Street in Austin" feel.
