Being a local it was funny we had never taken the kids to the Golden Cow so we decided to take our youngest girls there in the school holidays. They had a great time learning about milking and feeding the calves and enjoyed the milkshakes after the tour.

No doubt the not for profit Golden Cow Farm is in need of a cash injection from a benefactor to updated some of their displays but the venue is a great place for kids to learn about the dairy industry, irrigation, gets hands-on with some of the animals and try an awesome milkshake.Tour consists of a video of the diary industry, how flood irrigation works, milking demonstration in the milking shed, kids get to feed calves with milk just milked, feed and pat Pepper the Pig, see chooks, goats and a few other roamers.Worth the trip and please support this great local venue.

We visited this attraction with our 2 children who loved the interations with all the farm animals including gathering chicken eggs, feeding pepper the pig and the baby cows. My wife couldn't quite handle the sights and smells in the milking shed tho... They throw in a lot of education about land managment and the dairy industry although there props are in desterate need of updating. Most are either not working or only partially operational. Some alcohol hand gel also would'nt go a stray especially at the prices they charge. Even one free milk shake or at the least a discount on the full price would be nice.Overall a good experience for all ages. Don't forget to drop in to the Down Under Dunny at the Falcon pub and the Great Aussie Beer Shed on the way bak to Echuca, they are all a must for all the family and not out of your way!

My wife and I had been there many years ago before we had children, and decided we needed to take them so they could try one of their milkshakes. My children weren't disappointed. They have an amazing range of standard and special milkshake flavours, which made it hard for the kids to decide. There are also snacks and cakes available in the cafe. If you want to check out how a dairy farm works, they run tours during the day and there is an interesting display of dairy industry products in a room next to the cafe. All in all, a nice little side trip.

Took my 4 year old nephew here. Fantastic experience feeding the calves, pig and lambs. The staff were most friendly and provided education regarding the farming situation and its water supply. Excellent experience for all.

Took my 3 & 4 year old children here for their first experience of dairy farming close up & they loved it. Started off with a short video then demonstration of how the local irrigation systems work followed by seeing a couple of cows being milked. Next they got to bottle feed a calf and lamb plus saw several other farm animals. The visit concluded with a great milkshake & cake with lots of cream in the cafe.
