Disappointed they are not able to make mead due to govt. Licence tax but great to be able to taste many different honey types. Owners very friendly.

Yellow box? Leatherwood honey? It's all there (but availability may be short on some things because of poor wether for bees). This is the only place where i buy my honey.

I remember going here as a kid so we went for a visit. Love the big beehive doorway you walk through and my 3 year old loved it too. Interesting to see the working beehive and good to be able to taste some different types of honey. We bought some really nice honey here.

Unfortunately, we were not impressed with this place. It was actually a rather odd place. In the front, they have a sort of cafe. We tried to order but there didn't seem to be anyone there. In the back, we found one working hive and a nursery. Way in the back was where it was kind of odd. There was an infant playroom in a sort of house, then a room full of really old dolls and what appeared to be a very small op shop. Like I said, pretty odd. We went back to the front, ready to leave, but we then found they had honey tasting. There were maybe 10 different flavours so we sampled some of that, then left. The honey (according to my kids and husband) was pretty good. They also had some souvenirs as well. In all honestly, we won't stop here again but I'm glad we checked it out.

After a couple of minutes of walking around we had seen enough. If you are into ferns or dolls then it maybe of interest. The honey tasting was ok and there were some quite nice examples but others were out of stock. The place is starting to show its age.

Honey is good quality and beehive entry is a cool for a photo, but don't expect much else. The dollhouse museum at the rear is kind of spooky and out of context. The fern nursery also doesn't quite mesh. But hey, it's free!

this is great to call in to and get some great local and tasmanian honey....the staff are friendly and helpful even updating me on a traffic issue ahead the prices are good for the produce and a large range to choose from

The hive at the entrance is great for photo ops and to see the working bee hive was great but it does look & feel a little tired, it's needs some renovation to give it a new lease of life. Would have like to see the cafe menu more focused on the honey too, honey ice-cream, honey cake etc.Cute but needs some work.

Service, friendlyProduct range is greatProduct quality is greatVery educational An actual (glass front) working beehive is fascinating. This place has great ideas, but it looks like nothing has been improved for 15 years. Looking a bit tires and run down. Worth a visit though.

The video is probably from the seventies (and the tv might be too!) but I have to say, it was incredibly interesting. The whole family was riveted and once we'd watched it, we could go see the things we'd learned in a working hive. Such fascinating creatures. Not much else to see apart from the honey tasting but a nice little family business to stop at. Thanks for having us.

My husband and I love a bit of honey and this was such a nice place to stop on our drive. We tasted some local honey which was delicious, saw a bee hive and had a cup of tea. We didn't eat there but the food is very affordable. The owner was very friendly and answered all our questions. Well worth the stop even if its just to get a photo in the hive in the doorway

Free entry and you can try some different honey there. Saw some native bees and a beehive, all ok. Worth a stop if going by.

Cool little place to stop in on the way past, amazing honey and even a working beehive. Friendly shop owner too, great local advice.
