This walk is great for singles, couples and friends. The Seawall is best experienced on a lovely day in Autumn/Fall when all the trees are changing colour, at this time of year it isn't busy or crowded. During the summer it does get busy during the day, in the evening it is less busy and the views are far more enjoyable with the evening hues effecting the mountains. Always try and end it with a beautiful sunset.

The seawall is over 22 K long, with 10 of it being around Stanley Park. You can start out at Canada Place and go around the park, past English Bay, onto Sunset Beach in the West End, on to Yaletown, Science World, Olympic Village and Granville Island. A great way to see a lot of the popular sites in Vancouver and give you a good idea of the layout of the land.Magnificent views the whole way. You can stop for lunch along the way, or hang out on the beach for a while. For those who want a shortcut back to downtown from Granville Island, you can hop a harbour ferry, There are two companies, False Creek Ferries and Aquabus. Aquabus has some that take bikes. The other shortcut option is Burrard Street Bridge and Granville Street Bridge. Burrard Street Bridge is better for bikers as it has dedicated bike lanes. Granville Street Bridge is not one I would ride, especially with young children.Vancouver is so, so fortunate to have the seawall encompassing the downtown and beyond.

Of course like any tourist attraction it can get very congested making it a less than desirable area to to in during certain hours of the day. Just stay aware of the people around you. Stay RIGHT if you are taking a leisurely stroll, LEFT to pass. As long as all follow this rule it will be a beautiful tour around the City showcasing all that Vancouver has to offer!

One of Vancouver's best areas for a walk or stroll. The view is incredible from here and goes to show how impressive Mother Nature can be. Lots of activity around; everybody's motivating you to jog or do some exercise and be fit.

One of the pleasures of living and or visiting in Vancouver is the beauty of the out of doors. Stanley Park Sea Wall walk is no exception. The wall is around 8 miles round the point, great for walks, biking and rollerblading. From Sea to the Ancient Forests to the North Shore Mountains and History of the West Coast Salish peoples...explore and enjoy! No fees for the natural sites, but parking fees are in affect and attractions like the Aquarium. The City bus does go in and out of the park regularly. Lots of food for the foodies, from hotdogs to world class dining.

Rent a bike - there are some good ones for rent on Denman. Real bikes, not Blixis. then bike around the seawall. keep to the speed limit - 15 mph, I think. there are a lot of slower riders - just shout "on your left:" to indicate you are passing and all is well. A very civilized bike ride - less than an hour, even if you stop to smell the azaleas and rhododendrons. Then stop for a cappuccino.

The seawall follows the perimeter of Stanley Park in downtown Vancouver. It gives perfect views of the North Shore mountains, west to Point Atkinson and Vancouver Island, south to Point Grey and east to Capitol Hill and Burnaby Mountain. You can walk, jog, run, roller blade or ride your bike. It is fabulous and shows off just what a beautiful international city Vancouver is! By the way, I live in the stellar city!

The distance around Stanley Park which encompasses the sea wall is 7.75klm long wide enough for bikes, walkers and roller-skaters. The park itself is excellent but with the sea wall the view round 360deg are amazing. The wall has been known to close during serious inclement weather but usually is open free of charge 365 days per year. Not to be misses.

One day on the seawall I saw a bald eagle dive bomb and eat a seagull. Other days I've seen families of otters playing at Siwash rock. All day there are walkers, cyclists, rock balancers, musicians and rollerbladers from all around the world out having fun.

This is a must see (and do) for any visit to Vancouver, especially if the weather is nice. The seawall circles Stanley Park and that is reason enough to make the effort. If the weather is inclement, then a vehicle around the Park Drive is second best. However, if the weather is nice, it is your choice of foot, bike or blades. The pathway is divided for all three in most of its length.Beautiful sites, neat food establishments and many spots to pause and marvel at the beauty of the city, including the mountains, marinas, and Stanley Park itself.

Walking, biking, or inline skating along the coast is one of the best activities to refresh you. The green forest, blue ocean, the lights on Lions Gate Bridge at dusk, and the city view from Totem pole area will enchant you. Enjoy its beauty!

Great place to go for a stroll, run, or bike, but please follow the rules, room for everyone.Walk the seawall along to English Bay, enjoy the view, lots of good places to eat or have a coffee or drink.. Can't beat Vancouer's Seawall or English Bay in sunshine.

The approx.10 k walk of the seawall is so interesting. You cover landmarks, beaches, and sights of utter beauty. You can watch the cruse ships.leaving port or examine the local fishing anglers daily catch. In the spring and summer the blooms.of flowers is beautiful. If you have difficulty walking, you can rent a bicycle for a modest cost.
