So we weren't sure when we walked in....but damn sure when we left....what a great pub, great atmosphere, everyone just having fun playing games, we got the dominoes out, who would have thought several hours and pints later we would still be going...pints were all told and delicious...well not pints, we are British and not quite got the hang of the Canadian measurements yet...but you know what I meanStaff were wonderful , constantly providing water and more drinks, we didn't eat so cannot comment on food, the ambience is brilliant.....A little bit of geek came out in us all

Popped in to meet up with friends on a beautiful sunny afternoon. I can honestly say we've never been into a bar quite like it. Wasn't sure what to expect based on the description but we had an excellent time. I'd been feeling poorly for the last couple of days but a few hours in here (drinking water! and one hot toddy) seemed to do the trick. My spirits were lifted. Great choice of games (we sat and played dominoes for ages) and it seemed more people were playing than not. Great vibe, great beers and great service.

This place was great! Lots of games to play and fun foods like chick pea fries. Also super nice and good service! Prices are so reasonable it is unreal. Make sure to check out their rotating tap, it is on sale!

Went for a quiet Sunday brunch, as we have heard it can be a little intense in the evenings. We were the first to arrive, but there was a steady flow after us. This is a small place, with limited room. However, it is one of a kind in my experience! It is loaded with decor devoted to various fandoms: Star Wars, Star Trek, LotR, Dr Who, and many others. They have a good selection of local beer, a good brunch menu and great service. The names of the dishes are fun nods to the fandoms, and I am sure their regular dishes are just as good. High on my list of places to visit in Vancouver!

We hadn't been to Vancouver since we were both pretty young, so we tried to see as much as we could in 2 nights. We ended up spending most of our Saturday night here playing games. The poutine (which I use to judge almost ALL restaurants in Canada, cuz really, poutine...) was pretty flippin tasty and the drinks were just as good. It was such a great atmosphere and we had so much fun playing all sorts of different board and card games. We fully plan on going again when we're up next month and, hopefully, will be back up next Spring for the GoT viewing party.

This is the sort of place that should exist in every city! It has an amazing atmosphere, everywhere you look there is something interesting to see. The food menu is a bit limited, but caters to practically every dietary restriction. The shots are awesome, the element of chance is great, although the vulcan mindmeld is nice ;)One of the best things about the stormcrow is the games library, you can bring your own game to play or borrow one from their game library. The staff are friendly and geeky. Be prepared however, the place is always busy. The stormcrow tavern is like stepping into a role playing game, and is best enjoyed with family.

This place is a great combination of tavern and your geeky-brother's basement. The food and drinks are delicious. Everything is appropriately named after something sci-fi or fantasy, which adds to the restaurant's whimsy.Complaints: Its hot and cramped.... and the games are sticky. However, you CAN bring your own board games to this place... which is a bonus if you don't want to paw at nearly-greyed cards.Come for the food and drinks... but bring your own games and fan.

I have been there a few times and loved it! Out of plusses: staff truly loves their job and it shows. Nice selection of drinks, availability to borrow and play board games, all kinds of fun pictures and props all over the place.Out of minutes: the place is VERY popular and is always full, so be prepared to stay in the line for a bit.

I love Storm Crow. I have been here a few times and every time is just as good as the last. The staff is friendly and appear to like their jobs. The food and drinks are unique and delicious... all with names with cult references. The game aspect is a fun aspect for groups attending. I would highly recommend this place but almost don't want to since its already quite popular and busy haha.

This bar is geek heaven! Signed photos and cells, movie props, roll playing gear - bringing together fantasy and Sci Fi with gaming. The menu included D & D style floor maps for the venue itself. There was a pretty nice selection of beers too, and then you could select a game to bring back and play. We were there with a couple of friends, and played Cards Against Humanity. The only problem is it can be pretty hard to get in this place - it is very popular, and due to local law you won't be able to drink without a seat, so have a few local bars to visit to avoid disappointment. Staff were dressed in costume appropriate to the decor and theme. There was a Klingon bar, Dr Who references, Game of Thrones everywhere, walls of laser guns, walls of crossbows (including a Minecraft one - it was the bow not the picaxe!)

I may be a senior, but when I visit my adult kids in Vancouver, we go to the Storm Crow. Great food, great beer, lots of fun and atmosphere. One never outgrows these things. Board games, movie nights, or, best yet, Cards Against Humanity, it's a much better scene than most clubs. I heartily recommend The Storm Crow!

If you're looking for a casual place to drink, nerd out, and even play some games, Storm Crow is an amazing place. Great thematic food and drink, and free use of board and card games makes Storm Crow a tavern without match. I clumsily spilled a drink that got some Cards Against Humanity a bit wet, and was not even asked to pay to replace them. A hearty tip was instead forthcoming! I would suggest getting there early, so you can get a good table to settle down into, as it gets (understandably) busy.

I have been to the Storm Crow on a few occasions, most notably for part of my 30th birthday celebrations, and at different times / days. Each time, you are greeted with super friendly and attentive service, a variety of interesting brews, D20 shots if you fancy them, and an unbeatable ambiance. The food was absolutely fantastic; I had the stew both occasions, and it was tasty, hearty and lovingly made. I've also had desserts - again, these were wonderfully made and absolutely in the very difficult to find portion zone of just enough to satisfy the sweet tooth lust without being more than an average human could ever hope to finish. If you like to swig ale and down shots, there's a brilliant variety of themed shots and well selected and stocked beers. All I'd ask is... when are you opening a sister pub in Calgary!? :O

You are standing at a crossroads. There are paths leading to the north and south. To the West, a door stands open, there is a sign above with a picture of a crow. >> ENTER DOORI recall my first time visiting the Storm Crow. It was my birthday, two years ago, just before Halloween. I was half-cut and my friends and I walked in and found that we were the only ones not dressed like a Wizard, a Monster, or an unsettlingly sexy C3P0. I assumed, correctly, that there was something special about this place and since then, I have been a regular. Most pubs in Vancouver have a "thing" and usually that thing is either -- pneumatic waitresses/actresses, ambulatory meat bags with a penchant for Affliction t-shirts and quarrelling, or Saturday Night at the Roxbury. The "thing" at the Storm Crow is that it's simply a comfortable place. The Crow is one of the few places where anyone, and I mean anyone can pop in, have a pint, something to eat, meet some friends, play a round of Settlers of Catan, or whatever you're into -- there are no judgments, just good stuff. Imagine you are a thirteen year old dude who is really into Dungeons and Dragons, it's Friday night and you're at your bud's house in the basement listening to Rush and drinking Apple Schapps. This is one place you can do that, without getting busted, unless you're driving -- seriously, don't do that.I literally can't say enough good things about this place and the only bad thing I an say is that dang, these guys get busy on the weekends.
