I stayed with my significant other in the white lightning room for a night, which was spacious and had plenty of amenities including a coffee machine, television, fridge, and plenty of closet space. Unfortunately this room does not have a private washroom but thankfully we were the only other couple there and did not have to share. The common living area has a deck of cards, some board games and other essentials such as paper towels, an iron and ironing board should you need it. Our door lock did not lock, so we kept the few valuables we had with us during our stay. It is also walking distance from a beach entrance. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were lovely - a pleasant stay overall.

Whisky Run is a Family run Golf Course and the family are all wonderful. The course has three 9 hole courses to choose from and all of them have their challenges. If you like shorter and shaded then pick The Owl or if you find water hazards a challenge then pick The Serpent. If you can't see around corners then you will be challenged by The Fox (and you might see the little red furry guy while you are playing). Three patios for outside drinking and eating and a lot of leagues to join if you are looking for some new friends and a good time. All in all a great place to shoot a game or have some food and drinks.

Love your course! My family and I vacation every year at Crystal Beach. We have for the past 10 plus years.I always have friends and family come and visit. We have had many good rounds at Whiskey Run, folks from Florida, Maine, New Hampshire, California, Washington state and all parts of New York. My gang will be there the first week of August and looking to get at least a few rounds in again. The course is always well kept and managed extremely professional.........cant wait to play there again! Tom

Not just a slogan, it's true. My wife and I always enjoy the friendly staff at Whiskey Run and you won't find a better deal than the "golf and dine" specials on the weekends. Check it out for yourself.

Whisky Run Golf Club is a Family based business, that I am proud to be a employee of for 11 years!! We have been voted Niagara's Friendliest Golf Club, and I take pride in being committed to that title and making every golf outing a great experience!! Susie Steers

I don't play golf, but my husband and son have played here for years. The course can be easy or trying depending which part you play. You don't have to be a scratch golfer to play here. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The club house has simple food, but very good. You should feel right at home here.

Port Colborne is close to Niagara Falls, but we had not visited here before. We stayed overnight at the accompanying Bootlegger's B&B (very nice!), and rose early for our tee-off at Whisky Run. They have 3 sets of 9 holes, one being executive style. First we played the lovely Serpent Course. There was a huge rainfall the night before, and we were worried about the conditions on the course, but it was draining very well, even as we played - only the ponds were overflowing their banks a bit. The course was lush and green, and had several challenging holes with water in play. We really enjoyed the Serpent. Next we moved to the parkland-like Fox course. As we approached the 1st hole, we noticed a backlog of golfers waiting to tee-off. But the owner came running out and redirected us to play holes 5,6,etc. first, and then head back to play 1 thru 4 after - what great service to ensure we weren't waiting on the large group ahead of us. The park-like setting is nice, but we enjoyed the Serpent more - the first 2 holes on the Fox are quite significant dog-legs which aren't my favourite; but all in all, we really enjoyed Whisky Run and the service we got from the club house staff.

I am wondering who is really writing the reviews, probably the owners themselves...I played at the owl ..the short pars...the worst course I ever seen ...broken tree everywhere...many dead ones still standing ...piles of broken limbs ..I would never go back to this place. If you are looking for a manicure and well kept one ...like the name says it, RUN !!!

I normally golf 9 or 18 holes. Whiskey Run has 27 holes. Everyone who works there is so nice and courteous. They help when asked. I've never had any complaints nor any problems. I can't golf anymore, but I go with my friends on a weekly to bi-weekly basis. If you need lessons, they are their to teach you. Their teachers are very well-mannered, and they are very patient. I've been to many golf courses, but only a few have come close to how Whiskey Run runs their course and how they treat their customers.

We have enjoyed the couples night golf and dinner on several occasion and keep going back. You have 9 holes with cart, dinner and, with a coupon from the local papers, two for one beverage. You are offered a choice of three entrees and there is a buffet for salads, sides and dessert. The service is excellent and the meal very good. This is about the best way to finish a fun round of golf.
