It was a nice hike, a good yet not too strenuous workout, through the rainforest of Arenal, crossing several very high, long, swinging bridges, looking down into the jungle canyons and realizing just how high up we were ... A superb adventure and not to be missed! Great views of Arenal Volcano, too (rain cloud permitting)!

Kids love this kind of attraction, there are several hanging bridges. We saw monkeys, birds... We didn't take a guide and didn't feel that we were missing something.

We visited the hanging bridges with our daughters who are ages 11 and 9. The walk/ hike takes about a couple hours depending on your pace. We saw monkeys and some other wildlife. It was absolutely gorgeous and the views were amazing! We did it without a tour or guide.

Awesome day trip! We wanted to do something that was unique to Costa Rica and we were pleased with this experience! We had an awesome guide that was well informed and enthusiastic. I read that some people didn't see a lot of animals, but we did. We went first thing in the morning when the animals are more active and we saw several different types of birds (including an owl), a bunch of active spider monkeys, a snake, tarantulas, sloths, etc. The views here are amazing and there are some really great views of the volcano as well. I recommend wearing good shoes on this trip because there is a good bit of walking to do and some of the steps are uneven along the paths. The bridges are great and such a unique Costa Rican experience!

Surreal Experience! We throughly enjoyed the sights and loved being in the rainforrest. We did not see too many animals but the sights, waterfalls and plant life more than satisfied our explorative craving!

On our walk we saw 1 howler monkey, some ants and hundreds of Homo sapiens. They let too many people in at once. Our guide told us that sloths WERE NOT mammals.

I am still amazed that is this a privately owned park. It's wonderful what this family did with this piece of land.

An exceedingly good value attraction in the Arenal area. We spent the morning leisurely walking around admiring the beautiful views and listening to the animals. We saw some birds and butterfliesd but were not fortunate enough to spot any monkeys but the howler monkeys were certainly around! We had a guided tour in another part of Costa Rica introducing us to the rainforest, so if this is your first time to a Central American rainforest we would recommend a tour to learn about the animals, their habitat and the plants/trees to maximise your enjoyment. There is a cafe/restaurant at the hanging bridges, which was good value and served good local food. The waiters were very helpful.

We enjoyed the hanging bridges hike but it was quite easy and not scary at all. We were hoping for a few scarier bridges as we like adventure. All in all it was a fun way to immerse ourselves in the rainforest and a perfect activity for a rainy day! Watch for the leaf cutter ants! Very cool!

We had a very enjoyable time walking on the bridges through extensive forest which contained a great variety of flora and wildlife. It was a good workout for which you are repaid handsomely by unforgettable memories.

We enjoyed our morning on this fairly easy hike. We saw a deer, a toucan, a coatimundi, a squirrel, a vulture, a small snake, and a big spider (but, sadly, no monkeys during our visit). I definitely recommend a guide, as we would have missed all of this without his practiced eye. The guide also shared interesting information about the forest and all of the plants and animals that thrive there. The trail is mostly paved and the grade is not terribly steep. Most people will have no difficulty with the walk. The hanging bridges were a little nerve-wracking but a fun and different way to see the many layers of forest. Because we visited during sunny weather, we also had great volcano views.

As we like to do more active type of things, this seemed like a good way to take in the Rain Forest. The trail is quite extensive and takes between 45min - 1hr to complete. The bridges offer great views of the forest canopy. We really didn't see much in terms of wildlife but it doesn't surprise me as they have a lot of tourists tromping through here at any given time. The bridges themselves are pretty cool and have a good amount of 'sway' to them. I thought the price of $24 per person to go hiking over some bridges was a little much but the experience was still a good one.

Went yesterday with a guide who was quite passionate about the place - which was great. The bridges were amazing! Not fun if you're afraid of heights though so be aware if you go. Didn't get to see a ton of wildlife. Maybe Bc we went in late afternoon. Wear sturdy shoes.

This was an unique way to experience the upper canopy of the rain forest. Our guided tour through the rainforest was wonderful, as our guide was informative and passionate about the environment. We saw many beautiful birds, hollering monkeys, an Eyelash Palm pit viper, and Leaf cutting ants as we traversed the paths of this beautiful rainforest via suspension and stationary bridges.
