There are many ceramic shops to buy gifts in. These ceramics are machine made as opposed to individually hand thrown items, therefore, are much less expensive. You can bargain here, so don't pay the price they originally quote you.

If you are into chinese ceramics, this is a must see! The museum houses a number of buildings, displaying everything from how the clay is processed, to throwing, finishing, decoration and glazing. All the classical oven-types used in the production of chinese ceramics are presented in full size, and apparently at times also fired. I´m pretty sure you will get a much deeper understanding of chinese ceramics, a real aha-moment!

its an excellent place. visiting there is a good experience. the pottery building is mostly done by old aged men and women (sifu). They are extremly tallented in constructing new ceramic potteries.

Amazing place - part museum, part workshop and part demonstration base. A huge site covering all aspects of porcelain making from ancient times to today. Includes beautiful gardens, elegant architecture and even a temple. Can see porcelain masters at work and they will let you have a go. Still using the same techniques from thousands of years ago. Ancient kilns including one that maed the Guiness world Record as the largest wood fired kiln in the world. Many beautiful ceramics on show as well
